Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!

No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!

NO ROMNEY!!

Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!

Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!

We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!

I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!

FUMR!! FUGOP!!

Long live the rebellion!!

Hope my message is clear.

Ya know.. I think us conservatives are the minority now. Sure, polls show otherwise but we all know poll results tend to be what the pollster wants them to be.

The Rats have a well oiled and organized machine. They purged all their moderates and pointed them over to the republican party. Those moderates are more than happy with the advance of socialism and are using the Republican party to advance their agenda. They treat those of us on the right as a cute little puppy. They throw us a bone from time to time but never anything of substance.

The Communists and socialists in the democrat party likely have planed this to happen. They never give up, and they will take a .0001 inch move in their direction and just keep trying.

we are seeing it here too as well with the Romney supporters. They want to win at all costs, anyone but Obama. Just listen to them. They are blind to who Romney really is, even though it’s all there to be seen. Just like Obama was when he running.

Is Romney to the right of Obama? ya, on some issues he is. But he is still to the LEFT of the middle.

I give up, I am leaving this all in Gods hands. I will vote for who I agree with. If there is no one running that I agree with at least 60% then NOTA gets my vote.

It is NOT a vote for Obama. It’s a vote for NO ONE that is running.

I have drug abusers in my family. I have watched people try to help them. it never works. You just have to step aside and let them crash completely, bottom out, loose everything.. Then, and only then with the help of God can you get them turned around.

The same thing has to happen with this country. It’s going to have to crash and burn before we can start to rebuild it.

Any of ‘em including Levin could have gone over to Gingrich (or Paul) instead of Romney.

Gingrich and Paul were coming in last and dead last in the last several primaries. Levin was steadfast on his conservative stance until Santorum quit. He knows the upcoming states aren't going to go for Gingrich. Newt rode the Food Stamp line in the debate right through South Carolina. His shot was the south and it didn't pan out.

There’s no doubt the GOP is rotten to the core.

*This* is different though.

I for one, don’t want to see what happens when the Occupier exerts his “flexibility”, if you give him a second term.

It’s odd. So many of you good people now claim you really did vote for the rino McCain. And now, you want to re-elect Obama, I mean, that will really teach the GOP a lesson, won’t it!

With every response I receive explaining why you will never vote for Romney, every reason is given for the loss by McCain, but, you all voted for McCain, honest!

I really do see rather clearly now. IF Romney would win, you wouldn’t be able to stomp your feet as much. I get it. With Obama in office for another 4 years and THEN Hillary after that (which conservative would stop her? hmmm?), there would be need for lots of feet stomping.

I get it.

Svcw, you clearly do not know me or my record on these boards. I am about as anti-aborttion as you will find, including in the case of rape or incest. Why should an innocent baby suffer the death penalty because of the crimes of another? Only when the physical life of the mother hangs in the balance should she deliver, and then it is between her, the Dr., her husnnd, and God.

I do not vote for pro-abortionists. Never have, never will.

Romney has made it clear that he is pro-life now.

I believed Reagan when he made that change, I will believe Romney now, and particularly since I know people who know him and have confirmed it for me. I make it a point of making sure beyond the hyberbole and accusations flying around about things he did in the past.

Should he go back on it, he will lose my support absolutely. Abortion is the moral issue of our time and a holocaust against innocent human life.

I will stand before God with a clear conscience on this issue.

FALSE - I know exactly who Romney is and I am sick of the idea of voting for him.

However - I view Obama as a satanic demon who has to go!

Thanks...glad we agree on this and hope we can make a difference. It will take all of us.

I lived through the Carter years and the Regan turn around. Things were dire then. They are worse and even more dire now.

Reagan brought about a change that bought us a good 25 years...we can do the same again. I pray we will.

Thanks! I’ve actually gone back and helped in Georgia...not much, just coordinated volunteers and helped set up rally spots and etc. I didn’t take pay and spent whatever savings I had left.

Apparently it wasn’t enough to some of the other people here.

I understand the anger of a Romney nominee. I’m not exactly happy about it either. I think some posters here forget that we have the same goal- to get Obama out of office. I don’t even disagree that Romney is a bad candidate. But at the point when it’s time to vote, I’m not voting Obama or third party....so who is left?!

Thanks. A stopped clock and all that....

The real problem in this election wasn't Romney, and it wasn't even the people or the GOP-E who supported him. It was the fact that we just did not have a really good conservative candidate out there who chose to run. So we ended up with some pretty crummy choices, a bunch of people who couldn't stomach Obama panicked, and decided to support the guy they perceived as being the most electable.

I know some folks, some of whom are pretty reliable conservatives, who voted for Romney. None of them were happy about it, and all considered it more of an "anti-Obama" vote than a "pro-Romney" vote. I sympathized with that, but disagree regarding electability and supported Newt. But I understand why they did it -- most of them so detested Obama that just getting him out became the first, second, and third priority.

At some point, we need to tone down the drama a bit and realize we just got stuck in a crummy election cycle with a pretty crummy slate of candidates. That was going to leave some folks pretty ticked off no matter what. That's the real story of this primary season. Personally, I'm more ticked at those good conservatives who chose not to run and left us with Wink Martindale for a nominee. Mitch Daniels, that means you.

But, I'm a Marine. I don't give up, and I don't whine. I'll conserve my ammo, hunker down, and fight the best holding action I can. And when a strong conservative candidate emerges for 2016 GOP nomination, I'll still be in the party, and will join the counter-offensive. The REMFS who abandoned ship when times got tough can just sit back and swap their war stories.

Okay, if you're talking the “big steeple” evangelical leaders, we agree.

There is serious bad blood between a number of them and Newt Gingrich for a wide variety of reasons. And evangelical conservative leaders are not uniform on their views any more than economic conservatives or national defense conservatives — for example, Gary Bauer endorsed McCain in February 2008 when McCain had 719 delegates, compared to 234 for Mike Huckabee.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23112121/ns/politics-decision_08/t/conservative-gary-bauer-endorses-mccain/

Evangelicals are notoriously difficult to “lead from the top.” If there's any group that requires passion to get them to the polls, its evangelicals, and that is not easy for any candidate trying to reach the evangelical vote.

Is the country “fine” now?

The Occupier would not be a lame duck in the least. He would circumvent Congress AND the Constitution as he has done to pass whatever he wants.

Don’t forget...he’ll have the “flexibility” to do whatever the hell he wants.

At least Romney won’t perpetuate a race war.

You won’t recognize this country after another 4 years of The Won. It’s unrecognizable today. And the blood will be on your hands.

“Imagine: amnesty, “tax fairness”, gutting the military and so much more ALL SAILING THROUGH CONGRESS because a “Republican” is at the helm of America. Contrast this with a second Obozo presidency where the GOP will dig in their heels and at least try to fight.”

NONSENSE. Since when has the GOP “dug in their heels” and tried to fight Obama on ANYTHING? Hell, he made recess appointment when there wasn’t a recess and they didn’t so much as say “Aw, shucks” about it.

“This is why we have to have a NOT-ROMNEY at the top of the ticket if we are to have any hope of digging America out of this hole we’re in.”

Well, that’s just NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Romney’s going to be our candidate.

Do you really believe he’s going to circumvent Congress, appoint radical czars, try to influence the Supreme Court, make back room deals with the Russians and allow the Gay rainbow flag to rise in a war zone? Really?

I think o bama will do all of the above and more at warp speed when he no longer has to be worried about re-election. Even more likely is that he and Moochellie will vacation for 4 years since they no longer have to worry about being criticized or re-elected and Valerie Jarrett and Leo Gerard will run the Executive office.

You say there’s no difference between Romney and Obama; fine, I’ll give you that. But it’s not just Romney v. Obama.

It’s Romney v. Obama and all of his hateful, unelected, power-grabbing, America-hating czars, bureaucrats, and talking heads. I want them ALL gone, starting with Eric Holder and working my way down to this Hilary babe. I want them gone YESTERDAY.

I will do what needs to be done to help bring that about.
