It's all an act, and she is playing the part.
She can't act like she's on Zimmerman's side to make this work.
She has to act like she wants justice for the hoodie-guy.
That way when Zimmerman is acquitted there can be no question about the integrity of the verdict.
Please give my an example of ONE defense attorney disbarred in Indiana within the last several years for calling out the DA or prosecutor’s motive for filing charges political pandering?
That’s a common criticism among defense attorneys regarding the state in many cases.
Lawyers are rarely disbarred unless it’s something highly unethical or illegal. Mason is not saying anything he needs to worry about as far as the bar is concerned.
Zimmerman needs this kind of public defense...that’s half the batter; PR.
Sounds like something a seventh-grader would say. If a seventh-grader knew words like "zealous" and "prosecutor."
From a PR standpoint, I don’t think I’d want Casey Anthony’s lawyer on my side.
Of course she’s not, she is after all the ‘Prosecutor’. You know, The State of Florida(as represented by ‘that woman’) vs George Zimmerman. Is it ‘political prostitution’? You bet!
Okay, whatever.
You don’t ruin a man’s life in hopes a Florida jury is bright enough and brave enough to acquit hum. This woman didn’t need to come out like she was on ANYONE’s side other than the law, but she was overly smarmy and talking in flowery rhetoric.
It was not a good display at all.
I don’t think she give two you know what about Zimmerman. She’s a “tough” prosecutor which usually means she loves jacking charges against people. Add the political pressure and this life long bureaucrat was more than happy to over charge.
She’s not on GZ side. Trust.
Watch the presser.
Baez would be great!
I agree. At the point where a prosecutor (special or not) makes statements which are clearly one-sided, it is obvious that Lady Justice had the blindfold removed.
Meh..everyone knows defense attorneys defend. That’s their job.
Most people blamed the jury for Anthony’s acquittal not her lawyers.
A Harvard Graduate would use the subjunctive mood.
Huh? Remember OJ?
His life is already ruined. He is the New Black KKK's white-devil mascot.
Notice how quickly all the hubbub has subsided now that he has been charged with something?
We know for a fact that Zimmerman contacted the Special Prosecutor. My bet is he begged her to charge him so he could clear his name.
Without a trial, this goes on forever.
The difference is that this is a political operation from start to finish, intended to rile the black base and get them to to polls in November.
Once the election has passed, Zimmerman is of no further use to the Black KKK.
It will take at least that long for the case to come to trial.
My bet is that it never does.
Even Trayvon's MOTHER is saying she thought the shooting was an accident.
An accident is not 2nd degree murder.
One way or the other, being charged is the best thing that could happen to Zimmerman given that this case is not about justice, but about giving Obama an issue for the Presidential election.
“praying with Trayvon’s family”?
What about separation of church and state. Oops, that only counts if the pray-er is a conservative.
Obviously not a Harvard graduate.
A Harvard education is way over-rated. After all, GWB has a Harvard MBA.
Did you know that Harvard Law no longer requires a course on the U.S. Constitution?
I think technically he is correct about “none was.”
... although we don’t speak that way.
I agree - subjunctive, definitely.
