Commentary: Glenn Beck's Oval Office {Beck going all in for Mitt?]
Star-Telegram ^ | April 12, 2012 | Bud Kennedy

Glenn Beck has been in Texas only a few months, and he's already talking big.

Now, he wants to address America from his own Oval Office.

Lest anyone fear that something has suddenly gone drastically wrong in our country, Beck's Oval Office is a movie set in Irving.

-SNIP-

Saying he will "deliver the speeches the president should have delivered," Beck promised to "activate the sleeping giant" of Christian conservatives in America with speeches from his new set on the Studios' Stage A.

Mainly, of course, Beck's goal is to motivate subscribers to pay $9.95 a month for his show, broadcast daily to about 300,000 viewers via computer, iPad, iPhone or other household appliance.

-SNIP-

Beck said he hopes to hire 1,000 workers in Irving for an entrepreneurial project.

It's named American Dream Labs.

He's right about the dream part

So, Glenn is coming out of the mormon closet to attempt to set himself up as "kingmaker" for Mitt, is he?

IMO, his "promise to "activate the sleeping giant" of Christian conservatives" is just another sign of his alcoholic grandiosity.

Your influence on Christians is highly inflated in your own mind, Glenn.

This guy really has delusions of grandeur. Here in the Memphis market they only carry him two hours and I don't listen to them.

Beck is wrong more than Dick Morris and that’s saying something.

Instead of cutting him down, why don't you take a look at what he is trying to do?

Why "The Oval?"

Sure, Glenn is out to make money, he's a CAPITALIST for crying out loud. Isn't that what America is supposed to be built on?

And if this man, can CREATE JOBS...why is that such a bad thing?

It amazes me how many want to bash or criticize someone who makes money doing what he can to help America! Why can't he do both? Pffffft

You can tune into WBAP Dallas via Internet and listen to Ben Ferguson for those two hours. I don't like Glenn either so I would listen to Mark Davis in Dallas. That lasted a while, Mark left a couple of weeks ago and Ben has taken his place at least for now.

There's no way Beck has that many subscribers.

He may motivate mormons but not Christians.
Beck is more delusional by the day.
He has always been a Romneybot, just was hiding it until the right time.
I am waiting for the “hanging by a thread” and “white horse” references to complete the delusion.

Show me a single post where anyone on FR has disparaged Beck for making money.
Try and keep up - Beck’s Romneybotism and delusional state is finally showing its ugly head, that is what the thread is about.

I'd say your influence around here to keep Romney from getting the nomination was highly inflated. lol. (btw, I voted for Gingrich)

Have you even listened to his show?

In fact, just yesterday, he was saying he has NOT always been for Romney and the ONLY reason he IS for Romney now, is because he DOES NOT WANT Obama to get re-elected. They were making fun of Romney, and created the tshirt (as I posted in an earlier post) that “at least he’s not a commie”.

Granted, I don’t agree with him and am not sure myself who I’m going to vote for, especially if it’s Romney.

Try listening to his show sometime, and you’ll see, the whole “bot for Romney thing, is BS.

Oh, and by the way, if you did bother listening to his show, you’d know he was actually a Santorum bot.

Ferguson is such a RINO squish. About as smart as Hannity IMO. I still miss Mike Fleming myself.

As a GBTV subscriber, when I first heard what he was going to do, my first thoughts were “Beck, now you lost it”. And I was not alone. Beck said he had a ton of comments on his web page saying the same. But after watching him yesterday I didn’t see anything wrong with what he said and how he delivered it. It was Great Words, that should be said. If Rush or Mark Levin, would have said the same monolog on their shows, these same Beck bashers would be saying, “ right on Rush, you tell em”.

As far as his support for Romney, as a long time listener of his, he is a big Santorum supporter that is very reluctantly shifting his support for the only one left in the race.
