Wasn’t NBC the “news organization” that rigged a pickup truck test some years ago to show how easily the vehicle caught on fire? Or was that their co-conspirator, CBS? I did a little Goggling and came up that ABC, NBC and CBS have all had a go at the automobile industry.
ABC went after Ford in 1987. NBC went after GM pickups with rocket motors. CBS went after Jeep CJs.
All 3 networks were guilty of fake but accurate reporting.
