Mitt Romney opposed the two most successful conservative policy efforts of the last 30 years - the Reagan administration policies of the 1980`s and the Contract With America of the 1994.
In fact, in his debate with Ted Kennedy in 1994, Mitt Romney refused to endorse the “Contract With America,” which House Republicans had proudly presented as their campaign manifesto, and he balked when Kennedy tried to link him to the Reagan administration. “I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush,” Romney retorted.
