It looks like Sarah Palin is planning to attend the Republican National Convention in Tampa this August — or is at least planning to be in the general vicinity.

Financial disclosures from Palin’s political action committee, Sarah PAC, show a $4,500 deposit has been placed at the Channelside Bay Mall in downtown Tampa–walking distance from the Tampa Bay Times Forum, the site of the 2012 Republican National Convention......"

Palin and Gingrich ,or Gingrich and Palin ?

I'd prefer Palin as President, with Newt as my second choice.

She needs to watch her expenses. She has about $1M and if she’s going to try to benefit from a brokered convention, she’s going to need more than a million to campaign in three month’s time!

You need a nap, a new pharmacist, or some spine

Your sleepy and druggie remedy (Satan's Rx) shows you have no spine.

It would be the answer to my prayers if Sarah came in and rescued us from Romney

*sigh* What are you doing at the local level to ensure a new party from the ground up? What local legislators and officials have you demanded audience with? Hmmm? None, I’ll bet. How many GOP members at your county and municipal members have you corresponded with?

Untenable? Yes, indeed. It will come down to Romney or Obama. Nothing there for a conservative, but working at the local level at least offers a foundation or a base to work from. And make no mistake, those of us at the local level are working and praying...and not being hysterical..

We need a Revolution at the convention. The elitist GOP needs to be trounced, bounced and shattered. I say “Pain/Newt”. It ain’t over. Romney is not the candidate and those saying he is are freaking white flag waving spineless defeatists.

Hey I don’t care why she’s setting it up, I’m just glad that she is. Guaranteed she will shake things up! And if my prayers are answered... well, as I always say, “Hope for the best, expect the worst.” :-)

(Run, Sarah, run!!!!! NO RINO ROMNEY!)

If the RNC were smart (stifle your laughter), they would already be arranging for Sarah to give a speech in prime time. Maybe the nominating speech for the veep...or even the president.

Me too!! Sarah Palin was always my 1st choice, Newt is my 2nd choice. I hope now that its between Romney and Gingrich that Newt will be getting more delegates. I dont know how the system works but can Santorum give his delegates to Newt if he wants to? I gotta get my butt to Tampa I would love to see Sarah give that speech.!!

Sarah Palin isn’t going to run as a third-party candidate. Don’t you remember her telling us that we need to work within the Republican party?

Likewise, there will be no rebellion. Romney’s nomination won’t be contested. Even Newt, the “last conservative standing,” has made it clear that he’d back Romney over Obama. Frankly, I can’t think of a single Republican politician who would even consider fighting back.

Why should I want to revisit being insulted by a pack of animal worshiping, environmentalist NIMBYs led by a few domineering, old robber-hags? They're all dependent on their government incomes, pensions or government-dependent services. Did that for several years around 2000, and it was like being threatened by sideshow freaks.

It's better to stay out of their way, while they gobble up their own debt regime with their Democrat political partners in crime. They'll continue to toss irrelevant/false accusations at others while screeching about non-existent "property values," being swallowed up by their imminent wave of foreclosures and moving back to their cities because of their sedentary ways. Starve the B., then rebuild.

Well, at least I’m not sitting around. And you might be surpised who makes up local parties. Most folks are more similar to me and mine than not. Further, most share ourconcerns about the direction and level of commitment to conservatism of the GOP.
But ackowledging political realities, ie, the lousiness of Romney, does not make me a commisserator (sp?)of Satan!

Palin does not need to be on a primary ballot in order to talk to uncommitted delegates in Tampa. If she can garner the support of “X” number of delegates she will have by-passed the primaries and ten months of baseless attacks.

Palin did say something about “unconventional”
