Live from New York, it’s ... Mitt Romney?

Saturday Night Live executive producer Lorne Michaels offered a guest spot to the Republican presidential candidate and he is "considering it," New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd reported.

A stop at the show could be a good way for the former Massachusetts governor to boost his likeability ratings, which have been dismal throughout his run in the Republican primaries.

He has already appeared on late-night shows, including “The Late Show with Jay Leno” and “Tonight Show with David Letterman.”

"He was funny on Letterman, giving the Top Ten list," SNL cast member Jim Downey told the columnist.

SNL was great the 3 times Sarah hosted. Yes , among women Sarah has hosted very often. :)

BTW, that is a photo of Sarah at her daytime EMMY award win 17 years ago.

Sarah still looks great today. Her latest TV show Ringer airs what will probably its last episode on Tuesday.

I've been watching SNL since its inception, on DVR in recent years as I'm getting too old to stay up that late!

As far as I can see, SNL lampoons liberals as much as they do conservatives. Maybe it's not 50-50 but liberals do not get a free ride on SNL.

That said, I think politicians should stay the hell away from the entertainment shows. Nothing is more pathetic than a politician trying to "appear hip" by showing up on Letterman, SNL, or Howard Stern, etc.

Some might remember Sarah Palin making an appearance on SNL four years ago. I think that was a mistake.

SNL is never funny when they let politicians or athletes host

agree, Drew. Charles Barkley was a total embarrassment.

They are saying that Jason Sudeikus who plays Mittens might leave next season.
So Ted, dude, are you available?

And BTW, Danson was bald as an eagle twenty years ago...So...Morris should get his hairpieces from this guy’s supplier.

And Mitt, they have good colorists at salons now. You don’t have to do it yourself anymore.

That’s one way to get him out of the race.

A big mistake. These people are the enemy. They will destroy him. What are his people thinking?

They are leftists, therefore they are not his enemy.

If Romney does SNL, he’ll be right at home with “his” kind of people — liberal snobs. Of course, the SNL people won’t see him for the lib he is, but he will still be with them in spirit. He’ll even be yucking it up at stupid jibes at his expense because he’s too dumb to know they’re making fun of him.
