The Romney Economy

It is arresting to imagine a Romney White House, inevitably filled with as many former Bain colleagues as each of his other public ventures have been: The PowerPoints, the 80-20 jargon, the clinical separation of decision-making from ideology, the detachment of those decisions from moral consequence, a persistent blind spot for people as people. It would represent the final ascension of a perfectly American type, one that has already remade the culture of business. I once asked a Bain colleague of Romney’s how Romney thought of his own core competence. “I think Mitt thinks he’s good at being Mitt Romney,” the colleague said.

My point was that in addition to those mentioned by Jim, there are other points worth consideration. We have to survive as a nation for any post-2012 strategy to have meaning. I, for one, still believe the world is a dangerous place. And unilateral disarmament will leave us vulnerable to foreign aggression. 'Peace through strength' is how Reagan put it.

I think we got your point.

ANd I am sure you have gotten ours, the differences between Newt and Mitt are gigantic, the differences between Mitt and Obama are almost differences without distinction.

Because of that lack of difference between Mitt and Obama, he cannot and will not win if God Frowns on us and lets him be our nominee.

Instead of pimping a sure-fired loser on a conservative site when there are 46% of the delegates yet to be won, maybe, if you truly are a sincere conservate, you could join the rest of us and try and defeat the enemy to conservatism, Mitt Romney.

That is IF you are a sincere conservative.

That may be of small concern to you, but for any serious Christian....

I beg your pardon? Would you mind rewording that, or is your intent to insult my personal relationship with Christ?

Of the GOP candidates still in the race, Newt is by far the "least worst".

What can we do from here to get him on top? Any ideas other than throwing money at him?

Okay, I am a bigtime Newt supporter but that description is fine with me, "by far the least worst". You want to support Newt cause he's the least worst - I am grateful. We'll take all the "least-worst" votes we can get. And thank you so much for yours!!! You are a realist and a patriot.

Here is something you can do, but the clock is ticking and NEWT NEEDS YOU NOW!!!!

Our choices are: Nope, Nada, not a chance in Heaven. We (Conservatives) are getting screwed and not even getting kissed.

Lots and lots of foreplay though...

Why is it that Romney supporters are so ignorant of his record?

I know what kind of judges Romney nominated at governor of an extremely liberal state with an extremely liberal state legislature that he had to face. And I know what kind of judges Obama has nominated as President of the United States. You can shove that "Romney supporter" crap up your ass. I'm not going to join in on the pro-Obama cheerleading that is currently taking places on this forum.

Unlike it seems many here, I don't want four more years of the most destructive President this nation has ever suffered.

Romney because of his mormonism does not believe in A God but godS.

mormonism has mocked God Almighty/Christianity since its foundation, and Romney has been and most likely always be part of that corporation.

Romney is as left wing as BHO, that is how he governed, that is how he lives his life.

“Who is the candidates for these parties that we are to all support? Or does it matter?”

Of course it matters. And I don’t know who it is.

But, yes, I indeed to find out and vote for one of them or some other 3rd party that is actually conservative.

*EVEN IF* all of that constant “Romney checklist” that’s been going around were true, the last line states that 27 out of 36 judges nominated were liberals. I can guarantee you that Obama would nominate 36 out of the 36 that were as far left as can be. That’s enough for me.

Romney sucks. I have said before and I will say again that the only thing Mitt Romney ever said that I absolutely believed was that he hated the Yankees, which he said once in a debate in 2008. However, I don’t believe he hates this country and I don’t believe he’d load his administration with known Communists and Communist sympathizers.

Why would you think that Romney would appoint to his staff anyone different as president than he did as governor?
Romney and BHO are both left wing.

I agree. As someone who has sworn an oath and is currently wearing this nation's uniform, I will put my country over my principles.

The party didn't make the field weak and didn't make voters split the notRomney vote.

You don't think that the GOPe openly supporting Romney and his Millions that were available for is campaign had anything to do with discouraging competetion. Right.

Along with 'the list' these are further reasons Newt should be the next President of the USA:

- Superior intellect.... (needed due to the complexities we face today)

- Historical grasp .....(needed badly so as to avoid repeating errors)

- Knowledge of how Washington functions...... (thus, he is not intimidated by the process)

- A repentant heart......( Walked through the needed forgiveness and restoration steps needed to deal with past marital failures and sins.)

- Articulation skills..... (needed in order to serve the presidency)

- Commitment to social, fiscal and constitutional conservatism Elder statesman demeanor in this campaign Churchillian perseverance...... (desperately needed, given the radical secularists)

- Grasp of the correct definition of American Exceptionalism .........(rights given “by their Creator” to “We The People” with power temporarily loaned to elected officials)

- Based on the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution ......(something that he articulates better than any elected or previously elected official)

- Understanding of the severity of the loss of religious liberty in present-day America....... (we are on the verge of losing this)
