When Obama wins, the GOP-e will get the message!

I voted third party in 1992, 1996, 2004, and 2008 in an attempt to send a message to the GOP.

So far, it isn't working out quite like I planned.....

Romney loves himself. Obama hates America. Why can’t people see that the former is WAY better than the latter?

I’m not voting for Romney, but could I actually cheer an Obama victory?? Don’ think so....

Only the number of votes in the electoral college can elect a POTUS... National polls won’t matter.

“IMHO, anyway you cut it, Obama losing is good...very good. He’s intent on willfully taking the country down and four more years will do potentially irreprable harm.
We can and will survive Romney...can probably even hold his feet to his campaign pledges.”

The difference between a Romney administration from 2013-2017 vs. a second term for Obama is, that with the former, conservatives “live to fight again” in the political realm. With the latter, there may not be “a fight next time”, other than by force of arms.

Some could be chomping at the bit for just such a struggle, but one must be careful about what one wishes for. Although we as a fragmenting nation may indeed be headed in that direction, it’s not “Seven Days In May” time quite yet....

“Does that make sense?”

Not to the PTB here at FR. I’m going with the consensus here.

The election is 7+ months away. In politics that is a lifetime. This poll is, in and of itself, meaningless. Here’s why:

The MSM are pushing Romney. This poll is specifically meant to discourage Conservatives. The way you’re babbling on about Romney, a national socialist (fascist) being no way worse that Obama, the left-wing in this country is manipulating the fears of folks like you successfully.

“I’m not voting for Romney, but could I actually cheer an Obama victory?? Don’ think so....”

It’s a distinction without difference.

” An electoral vote landslide (>10% margin of victory in electoral votes) is a given - the only question is the magnitude. And that will depend on Romney choosing a solid conservative as veep.”

I wish I had your optimism, but I don’t.

Here’s my prediction (from another thread):
Romney wins it 270 to 268 electoral votes.
Obama gets:
CA
CO
CT
DC
DE
HI
IA
IL
MA
MD
ME
MI
MN
NM
NV
NY
OR
PA
RI
VT
WA
WI

Romney gets the rest, including Florida, Virginia, and Ohio. Without ALL of these, he loses.

Even with the numbers above, Nebraska could throw a wrench into things because their electoral votes are “split” (not winner-take-all). Suppose Obama wins the district that includes Omaha? In that case, wouldn’t it end up as a 269-269 tie? (Note, Maine also assigns electoral votes proportionally, but I expect Obama to win everything there).

Too bad the Republican legislature of Pennsylvania failed to pass legislation making PA a “proportionally-assigned electoral vote” state. If that were the case, Romney might pick up at least half of the ev’s there.

But this election isn’t going to be easy.
It’s going to be a squeaker or a blowout.
And for the “R guy”, the best he can hope for is being the squeaker....

That’s the way I see it...

We need to start a new party. . . . . .

_______________________________________________________

Yeah, that always works so well. Perhaps we could get Ross Pero to run again, that would show the Republicans a thing or two.

We certainly don’t need no stinking Mormon with his dog riding on the roof of his car in office. Mormons believe in Kolog and stuff like that, and you know how disastrous an effect that would have on the country if the president believed in a place called Kolob.

If we just get a third party started we might be able to take enough votes away from Romney to keep him from getting elected, then we would be able to keep Obama, wow, we could really do it! Then those wrascally Republicans would know they had been outsmarted.

Gee, Mark Livin, Ann Coulter, Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, Hugh Hewitt, Michael Medved, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman and so many others have simply lost their minds by getting behind Romney. I’ll never listen to any of them again, they are all crazy.

I can hardly wait until Obama gets re-elected and I can say SEE!!!!!!

.
.
.
.
.
.

I’m not really trying to offend anyone, but this is what it looks like here. You don’t always get what you want. We should at least make the most of a situation that could be better but could surely be worse.

I hope Romney doesn’t need my money, he won’t be getting it but you can believe that if I’m alive on election day he will be getting my vote.

This is good and bad. First its romney so that is bad...It appears he doesn’t need my vote to win..so that is good.
Its off my conscience.

I thought not voting for McCain and getting Obama in the first place was supposed to destroy the RINOs? It didn’t happen. I will likely vote for Romney, not that it will make much difference. It hurts to say that but Obama has gone over the edge. Romney is just a crony capitalist, Obama is a full blown Marxist and racist to boot.

After I vote, I’m moving so as not to see the aftermath. The majority in America are now leftists.

Seems kind of silly to put out this poll when Obama has not yet begun to fight.

Rush et al. shut down Newt's questions about Mitt's self-claimed "job producing" record at Bain. I doubt Obama (and OWS) will be that easily shut up. They'll have plenty to work with. How Mitt Romney's Bain Career Will Inflame the Class Warfare Debate.

I understand voting for ABO come November. But there is more we can all do.

It is very important that we take back the Republican Party from the fearful elites, who know they will lose their wealth and businesses under BHO2, and who have been bought by the fascist Romney who is a liar on par with Bill Clinton.

Think I'm exaggerating when I describe Romney as a fascist? He is a national socialist. In Germany these national socialists were called “Nazis”. Check out Jonah Goldberg's book, Liberal Fascism. It is an eye opener.

Neither Romney nor Obama give a damn about the U.S.Constitution nor about our rights as citizens. Both are unborn baby killing, homosexual agenda supporting, dictator-wanna-bes who believes government is God.

This discovery of Romney's self-avowed socialism so alarmed the late Paul Weyrich, the founder of the Heritage Foundation, he told Sen. McCain that if he chose Romney as his VP running mate, he, Weyrich, would start-up a third party.

What we must do is take back the Republican Party and run the only Conservative left standing: Newt Gingrich.

The statement that Romeny will not be as bad as Obama is a false choice: both equal bondage to government.

[[Lets just get obama the hell out of office and then we can fight myth.

Obama needs to go, period. He is a plague on this nation, a tyrant, a destroyer of everything we hold dear, etc.]]

Precisely- We may have to fight romney if he getsw elected and tries to enact thigns we stand agaisnt, but it’s been done before, we’ve successfully fought things Bush wanted to do but wasn’;t inline with conservative standards, and riomeny will still have the GOP controlled congress to keep him in check- but with the dear leader obama i nfor another 4 years- he wil lsimply keep ignoring congresws, ignorign hte constitution, ignoring the church and doign whatever the hell he w3ants to do because he knows full well he has 100% support from the mainstream media do do whatever he wants without havign to answer for it-

The mainstream media will NEVER let mitt get away with aqnyhtign liek what our dearl eader is gettign away with- never- With mitt, we still at least have a chance to keep him from enacting exttremist views- however, with othe dear leader, we have NO chance of stopping him- and let’s not forget- if he’s reelected, he most likely is goign to appoint anotherr liberal supreme court judge which will have disasterous effectsw on this country for a veryl ong time to come-

Of course. The Federalites will never allow the Undocumented One to stay in “their” White House and learn to work Their System, as They know They will have to go down with the rest of us.

Get ready for Federal Nation big time. He’s Their man.
