"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan
"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792
While you’re at it, why don’t you get a picture of Newt sitting on the couch with Rev. Al and Nancy Pelosi... brings back memories don’t it?
Look Romney was not my first choice but you and the crew behind you that will do what ever you can to make sure he is not elected will be directly responsible for whatever crap sandwich we get from Obama. You are a fool for thinking 4 years of Obama will make your next NON-pick electable.
I don’t care if I get zotted at this point. If Romney is good enough for Dick Cheney he’s good ENOUGH for me.
The lines are drawn - Obama or Romney.
We must get rid of Obama.
Lets not dwell on Reagan’s days in the Democrat Party, his time as a Union Leader, or his signing abortion laws as Govenor.
Politicians have a bit of a moral duty to represent their constituents, beyond just the practical political necessity of staying in line with the preferences of the electorate of their time and place. Things will change for Romney as President - the USA is different from the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts. He is a clean-living competent business executive with a strong track record of success with turnaround situations. He is a Godsend compared to Obama.
Its time to lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way. The lines are drawn.
