Ted Nugent Stumps for Mitt Romney at NRA Convention: “Chop their heads off in November” (VIDEO)

Washed up rocker and reality TV star Ted Nugent appeared at the NRA’s national convention in St. Louis. Nugent, a longtime NRA board member and regular presence at conventions, rallied the NRA faithful on Saturday to vote for Mitt Romney: “Your goal should be to get a couple thousand, per person who’s here, to vote for Mitt Romney in November.”

Nugent called President Obama a criminal and denounced his “vile, evil America-hating administration” which is “wiping its ass with the Constitution.” Taking it a step further, he said that “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.” “If you can’t galvanize and promote and recruit people to vote for Mitt Romney, we’re done,” he continued.

Supreme Court justices also came under assault by Nugent, who claims that the court’s more liberal members have signed a declaration against Americans’ right to self-defense: “We’ve got four Supreme Court justices who don’t believe in the Constitution. Does everyone here know that four of the Supreme Court justices not only determined you don’t have the right to keep and bear arms, four Supreme Court justices signed their name to a declaration that Americans have no fundamental right to self-defense.” Nugent concluded with a call to cut off the heads of Democrats in November: “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?”

Buy time for subsequent pushback.

It's not "buying time." It's political suicide.

John Judas McCain was a bridge too far. Mitt Romney is the plunge into the political abyss.

If the convention is the end, it’s the end.

“That will depend on how R2 works out.”

Of course, but at least there’s doubt. Is there any doubt about Obama’s intentions?

Be amazed all you want. There is no rationale you can come up with that makes Obama’s re-election the preferable option to me.

And there's no way that trading one socialist for another, just because he has an R by his name, is a preferable, or even possible, option for me.

Let's keep this real straight, for the record: I don't support socialists.

But you will. Because you don't have the courage of conviction, or the vision, to do anything else.

It's sad.

No, I haven’t seen that “poster” call Sarah Palin, Dick Cheney, et al, “idiots”, “RINOS”, or “dead to me”.

A people who have abandoned their allegiance to God, to self-evident truth, to the principles that make the rule of law, and even civilization itself, possible, are ripe for exactly the same sort of destruction that occurred in the last century in Germany and Russia. Go ahead, burn up your most precious inheritance on the altar of perceived political expediency. Just don’t whine when you’re destroyed. And don’t expect those of us who are determined to maintain the old allegiances to like it, or to thank you.

You’re so very special.

I am, actually. Because, by the grace of God, I was born in a country where I can tell those who tell me that I, out of cowering fear of the Left, have to support a man whose whole record flies in the face of all principle to go pound sand. Isn't it great!

IMO, Dubya's big spending "compassionate conservatism" was a bridge too far. So I sat out '04. But I also voted for Ross Perot, much to my subsequent regret. I used to read this site before the '08 election, and a Freeper at that time repeatedly posted a comprehensive dossier revealing Obama's murky background, corrupt connections, and pro-death votes. Even his citizenship is questionable. So I voted against him, with visions of McCain's hand reaching across the aisle to Ted Kennedy dancing through my head.

The choices usually stink.

Nor will you... and you will not see that from me.

I like Nugent, BUT on supporting Romney, I adamantly disagree with him.

Oh don’t fret. If Mitt gets the nom, we’ll all hold our noses AGAIN and vote. Even Mitt is better than nobama, but is NOT a conservative.

And I can tell even a “visionary” like you to go pound sand. Yes, it’s great!

Oh, it definitely sucks. Romney is as appealing as a week-old dirty dishrag, but Obama is as appealing as a dishrag someone’s wiped their disease-ridden a$$ with and is stuffing down our collective throats.

I didn’t take it you were supporting Romney. I think your assessment of Ted is probably right and I was pointing out why I believe he was wrong, Ted gave up to quickly.

Keep that attitude up, and you'll be shown the door here too.

Can't believe they haven't banned me yet - I've been told I have no "moral compass", that I just don't get it, that I have no principles, and that I'm not a true conservative - all because I WILL vote for whoever is running against the Kenyan, don't care at all who it is. Nobody alive on the face of the earth is as destructive and poison to our cherised liberties and ways of life in modern America as is the POS PresBO.

Good luck...FUBO
