Ted Nugent Stumps for Mitt Romney at NRA Convention: “Chop their heads off in November” (VIDEO)

Washed up rocker and reality TV star Ted Nugent appeared at the NRA’s national convention in St. Louis. Nugent, a longtime NRA board member and regular presence at conventions, rallied the NRA faithful on Saturday to vote for Mitt Romney: “Your goal should be to get a couple thousand, per person who’s here, to vote for Mitt Romney in November.”

Nugent called President Obama a criminal and denounced his “vile, evil America-hating administration” which is “wiping its ass with the Constitution.” Taking it a step further, he said that “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.” “If you can’t galvanize and promote and recruit people to vote for Mitt Romney, we’re done,” he continued.

Supreme Court justices also came under assault by Nugent, who claims that the court’s more liberal members have signed a declaration against Americans’ right to self-defense: “We’ve got four Supreme Court justices who don’t believe in the Constitution. Does everyone here know that four of the Supreme Court justices not only determined you don’t have the right to keep and bear arms, four Supreme Court justices signed their name to a declaration that Americans have no fundamental right to self-defense.” Nugent concluded with a call to cut off the heads of Democrats in November: “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?”

Dont let it get to you some people argue on emotion, its usually libtards rather than reason, facts, and logic. We all know that Romney isnt the best pick, but he is better than Obama, period. With a conservative congress he can be held to account. People can claim they speak for god and you will pay etc and its quite annoying and tiresome as God is the only judge.
Obama is a marxist muslim who has thrown Israel under the bus more than once. We all know what that means. People can call me names, ban me etc, but if our only two choices are romney and zero. The logical choice is clear.

Awesome. And you can even do it in support of the most liberal governor in the history of the republic. Congratulations.

My take on Bill Cosby is that he catches flak from much of the black population for his stance on integrity, self reliance, and equality. He has no time or patience for "black reparations". He frequently tells the black youth to quit the hand-out routine and making the same mistakes that dead beat parents do. He's one of the good guys, but not perfect. But all three of the men I listed and many others have a habit of "trusting without verifying". They take another man's word without consideration of the propensity the other man has for lying. Romney told Nugent that he wouldn't be a gun grabber in office. Nugent believes him. I do not. The difference between Nugent and I is that I have watched Romney talking out of both sides of his mouth since his 2008 election bid. I know he is liar and a flip-flopper. He has zero conviction and little integrity. If Nugent spent the time and energy to do the research, I'm confident he would come to the same conclusion I have -- the same conclusion the majority of this board has.

Just trying to warn you. Newt is in recoup my losses mode from here to the convention. His campaign will only be about trying to recoup his own cash he has sunk into his campaign, everybody else’s he is not worried about. I do not think nice people, like yourself and others, should be duped into supporting this guy anymore. I have read other people here who seem willing to keep writing checks to Newt for him to fight on. He is not fighting on. He will take your money and put it in his pocket. Unless you are OK with paying for Callista’s book tour, the campaign is even paying for guy a in an elephant suit for her, keep your money, and efforts.

Nugent was a hero to a lot of people around here, surely you don’t deny that.

What cost him the hero status was not drugging or banging young checks but coming out for Romney.

It’s a strange world.

Well, it’s still a semi-free country until your de facto choice wins.

Wait a minute. Out of the two of us, there is only one of us that supports socialists. And it ain't me.

your de facto choice

By the way, that is what is known as slander against principled conservatives.

You're going to make a fine Romney Republican. Shoot, Mitt and his friends might even give you some money.

Thanks, gusty. But I’ve never made it a practice to say how much I contribute to candidates.

Those who don’t vote don’t deserve to live here (although I assume you’re not in that group). Sure, if enough people wrote in the SAME non-candidate, that non-candidate could win. But they’re not going to do that...odds of that happening are 0%, based on the in-fighting for various favorite sons (and daughters) in the previous months seen here on FR (and still continuing, to some degree). If you’re in the camp that believes we’d actually be better off with Obama than with Romney...I’ve heard the arguments, I just don’t buy them.

Well, he can try. But I'm an American. I do shoot back.

One last caution for you before I clear out of here for the day, from a Brit who learned the lessons of history:

"Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed, if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not so costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance for survival. There may be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no chance of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves."

-- Winston Churchill

“Well, he can try. But I’m an American. I do shoot back.”

So do I, but that has nothing to do with voluntarily giving the enemy the upper hand until that’s the only option left.

Before endorsing him, Nugent demanded that Romney pledge there would be no new gun laws or restrictions on Second Amendment rights in his administration. Romney obliged. Nugent also warned Romney about the “out of control” U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

Isn't that cute? Nugent actually thought Romney would live up to his pledge.

Seriously, how stupid are these people? When has Romney ever kept his word on something?

So your solution is to voluntarily give the enemy the upper hand again.

It would be funny if your circular reasoning wasn’t what is driving the republic to the brink of ruin.

Later.

Romney’s my last choice, except for Obama (I don’t consider writing in a non-candidate in the general election a viable choice). Based on an intent to destroy the country and the ability to execute on said intentions, he’s not in the same universe as Obama. Have a good one.

Are you saying that if people in this forum end up holding their nose and voting for Mitt to try to save this country (becuase Obama is a sure thing), that they will be banned??
