It is a fundamental mistake to try to "make politically correct statements," either with children's toys or anything else. People have preferences, usually natural. In a free society, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having preferences. That is what freedom is about. And the idea that it is wrong for girls to seek appealing images for themselves, is sheer insanity.

My neice likes LEGOs. Female figures are hard to come by. I got her a set with this figure - not just any female - but WONDER WOMAN!!!

That’s cute! Companies are D&^*ED if the do and D*&^ED if they don’t. What did the feminazis want, little girl figures with butch hair cuts and work shoes?

FTA: "Girls aren't building space shuttles, they're getting their nails done."

Oh, come on ... look at the role models they put up for girls. Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, Miley Cyrus, the Kardashians, etc., etc. -- tell me again how many of this genre are out building space shuttles and how many are getting their nails done? When was the last time TMZ caught one of these chicks at JPL or even the Griffith Park Observatory instead of in front of some Hollywood night club? Give me a break.

Thanks antidemoncrat.
...the female version of the little figures who man [sic] the spaceships, trucks and forts children create... are somewhat anatomically correct, which hypersexualizes girls, according to the group.
Because, y'know, without media companies and toy manufacturers, little kids would never develop into sexual beings.

It turns out these people are lefties who hate anything that might indicate gender specificity. You know, skirts/dresses, the color pink, long hair, that sort of thing.
