GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley, the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is asking the Secret Service whether members of the White House advance team are connected to the Colombian prostitution scandal, considering their “close working relationship” with federal agents.

Grassley, R-Iowa, sent the letter Friday to agency Director Mark Sullivan and acting Inspector General Charles Edwards. He also asked in the letter if the Secret Service is looking at whether the White House communications office also could be involved.

I know someone who works with the President's security detail (I don't want to get them in trouble, so I will not reveal their identity) but they have told me that what is publicly known is just the tip of the iceberg and that much more will be revealed over the upcoming weeks.

My friend refused to give details until they are officially released, but told me that many careers and reputations will be tarnished or destroyed as a result of this.

When I heard about the ‘partying’ in Cartagena, it just did not seem logical that this was the first time such a thing happened although maybe not quite to this extent. All of a sudden so many Secret Service, military, et al stampeded off the ranch on this particular trip? This widescale misbehavior doesn’t happen unless folks are fairly comfortable that their unacceptable (for lack of a better term) behavior is either not detected, or more likely, ignored or overlooked. That supervisors are implicated says volumes .... and now WH staff might be involved? I’m sure this IS just the tip of the iceberg.

And what is Grassley going to do if he finds out that the entire WH staff and SS jumped in bed with a dozen Colombian prostitutes?

What can he do?

I believe the most you can do is revoke their security clearances. To work within the White House compound or around the President...you have to have a special security clearance. Without that....you pretty much have nothing to say or do. If twenty-five White House support folks fall into this category suddenly...it’d really cause bring the media around to questioning this whole mess.

I’m already thinking of a pretty good movie that could be made off this....Weekend in Cartagena. We could film most of this around Miami in two weeks and turn it into a 1-star comedy.

If this turns into a larger scandal, no doubt they will try to trace it back to Bush's tenure. But by all accounts, Bush's people ran a tight ship so there may not be that many hooks there to get hold of.

No doubt when the Chicago people moved into the SS and other positions of authority they yelled a big "Yeehaw" and went wild. I hope it all comes out and bites them in a big way.

Don't forget the photos of Madame Secretary dancing and swilling beer at the bar.

This is all very strange.

Maybe he can get Boehner to cry for us.

If there are whoremongers, you can bet they’re in the White House.

.
Big deal!

None on the WH staff need a clearance — Hussein will pass on any national secrets, anyway.

My friend has worked for both the Bush and Obama White Houses and much prefers the Bushes over the Obamas.

President Bush actually made an effort to be polite to everyone and to know one or two pieces of personal information about the people who surrounded him at the White House.

President Obama, on the other hand, treats most of his entourage with disdain, if he even acknowledges them at all. My friend said it's almost like he's the lord of the manor and they are the simple peasant folk who are so far below his station that he doesn't see them.

Three guesses as to who will not be getting my friend's vote this November; and you'll probably only need one.

“This is all very strange.”

You can say that again.

We’ve got a usurper squatting as POTUS and the agency that is suppose to be protecting a LEGAL POTUS is out whoring around while a foreigner(illegal alien??) loots the treasury, and murders citizens.

Are they too busy whoring around to bother with forged documents? I thought that was part of the Treasury Department’s duties.

I swear if someone told me before 2008 that any of this could happen I would said they were nuts.

Try as I might, I just can't see what is or might be wrong with prostitution.

It is like any other business deal that happens every minute of every day.

At lease the parties are somewhat informed.
