So what was it that you said you wanted in a replacement for the Oval Office?? I thought it was honesty, and integrity, and Pro-Am policies that support main street, our Constitution, Laws of the land and the freedoms we hold dear. Wasn’t it??? Didn’t you?? You said you wanted someone who could communicate that without a teleprompter. You said you were sick of the lamestream media lies (have you already forgotten that you are the mainstream media??). Well accuracy, dear friend and conservative voter, is the enemy of lies. I want a policy EXPERT in the OVAL OFFICE that remains on the side of “We the People” and our freedoms and the rule of law. I want the arch-enemy of the left in our oval, and that happens to be Newt!

The time is not past. The time is perfect RIGHT NOW. If conservatives can unite behind Gingrich for the last half of this race Romney will not have enough votes to get the nomination.

Santorum has done what he needed to do: he has kept his delegates bound to him. He set aside political expediency and at least some angst to do so, I’m sure. Now his followers need to do the same. And the Newt supporters need to help that process out by mending bridges instead of burning them, and helping us all to get behind Newt for the chance to stop Romney while there is still time.

Please don’t continue saying that it’s too late. Romney knows it’s not too late, which is why he has bought off the supposedly “pro-life” groups such as the NRLC and its affiliates to endorse him against Obama before the primary is even over. Romney wants us to believe the primary is over because he knows that if the conservatives unite he is sunk.

So let’s do it. Let’s unite. Let’s let Romney know what we think of government-coerced abortion.

What is it with Rush's guest hosts? Mark Steyn, Mark Davis.....gads. Does he ever bother to listen to what these guys say on his show? Does he even care?

Maybe he's gotten to the point where he's taking us for granted, like the Republican establishment.

Actually, I haven't gotten around to it. Heard good things. 300 had a similar concept to the one you mention (wouldn't recommend showing 300 to the kids, though).

Preparing for battle is fine advice ... just choose the right battle. I don't think Newt Gingrich's campaign is it anymore. That battle is over. Don't prepare for the last battle -- prepare for the next one.

What's really interesting about your posts throughout this thread is the fact that all you do is try to discourage and demean people of principle who are standing on their principles and making a stand. Why can't you support them or atleast shut your mouth and let them do what their conscience compels them to do. Newt supporters aren't asking for any help from you, I am quite sure most of them don't give a damn what you think.

So what exactly is this exercise all about? Because you have capitulated and sold your soul, you want others to do so, also? Or will it make it easier to accept that you don't have what it takes to stand against overwhelming odds, and try to do what it takes to save this country, if lots of others join you on the sidelines, snarking the patriots still in the battle?

IF you were on the banks of the Delaware on Christmas night would you be running to and fro telling the First Patriots crossing wasn't realistic, and forget about it, it's over.

Your brand of cynicism and sitting it out are always on sale, it's bravery that is needed now, and you obviously have none when it comes to standing up against the establishment, till romeny earns his 1144.

I find nothing principled about standing with a candidate that is out of the race, and nothing unprincipled about acknowledging that he's done. Newt Gingrich is not a principle ... he is a man. A man who lost. Clinging to Newt is no more principled than clinging to Rick Santorum. It isn't a matter of conscience. It is a matter of strategy. We agree on the principles -- but fighting a battle that is over doesn't push forward the principles.

I am quite sure most of them don't give a damn what you think.

Rush had mark steyn subbing the day before the Florida primary, and it was a nonstop anti-Newt rant...

Mark Davis has been on, asking listeners what can we do to help Mitt romney win?

It's rush's way of hiding his stealth support for Mitt Romney, the choice of his country club, golf-loving rich friends, and he would never stand up to them...

Rush isn't a battlefield kind of guy, know what I mean? Neither are a lot of the others we're sadly finding out..

Gingrich’s campaign isn’t that attack point. No impact left to be had there. Find a different front.

Oh brother, Mark Davis is the worst! This guy has to be the most obnoxious, condescending, annoying sounding radio host it's ever been my displeasure to listen to! I remember a few years back Mr. Davis was disrespecting the Tea Party (trying to recall the specific issue), and asking us: “Well, how’d that work out for you?” If he had been in my swing range I would've punched his lights out! Rush knew this particular broadcast pi$$ed of his listeners, but yet he continues to regularly use Mark Davis. Wanting to give Rush the benefit of the doubt; i think his decision to use guest hosts simply stems from “Who's available?” This is not the best way to choose hosts IMHO. As you say, it really does make you wonder if he bothers to review what they've said during their fill-in time?

I think my favorite fill in host for Rush has to be Wisconsin's own Mark Belling. This guy is just a pleasure to listen to! Strong conservative, knows his stuff, and isn't afraid to take on Libs and RINOS.
