The schedule has been finally worked out!
For those arriving Friday, we will meet for dinner at 7:00 at Capt. Benny’s , 103 Fulton Beach Road,Fulton, 78382. The place is BYOB & they only accept cash. After dinner we head back to the cottages for some delightful conversation.
Meet for breakfast Saturday morning at 8:00 at Alice Faye’s, 106 N Fulton Beach Rd, Rockport, 78358. After breakfast it is off to the range, Schwenke’s, 4407 FM 1069, Aransas Pass, 78336. For those not joining us for breakfast, the time to get to the range is 10:00. Since our regular cook has other obligations (we will miss you Charlie!), I will leave to pick up some BBQ & fixins around Noonish.
After lunch it’s “free time”. Folks can stay at the range and shoot, go to the local festival, or go get some rest! We will all meet back at the cottages around 6:00 for lots of snacks & margaritas!
I need to make reservations for dinner & breakfast, so please let me know if you are going to attend one or both. Also I told Mr. Schwenke I would give him an approximate number of people showing up, so if you only plan on attending the shoot please let me know. When I talked to Mr. Schwenke today he said we might be able to negotiate a lower price per person. I will call him two weeks prior to the shoot to let him know how many will be there, then he & I will talk price.
On a side note – BuckeyeTexan is willing to share her cottage, if interested please FReepMail her.

Who should I send the salsa to this year?
Just under two weeks until the shoot ping!
I’ll give Mr. Schewnske a call this week to remind him our group will be showing up on the 6th, and try to get the admittance price down.
Next week I’ll contact the BBQ restaurant to place the lunch order ~ brisket, sausage, potato salad, cole slaw & pinto beans.
For the Friday crew, a trip to see Lady Lex is for sure in order. Other sites to see are the Fulton Mansion and the Big Tree on Goose Island (1000 year old Oak tree).
If any of you are interested in seeing the sunrise over the Gulf, I think Friday or Sunday morning would be the best time.
At this time I have 25 confirmed folks showing up for the shoot.
At some point I will head to DCS to pick up some chairs & a canopy, any one that wishes to see the improvements that my mother has made to the place is welcome to tag along.

As I said earlier, I must go to a wedding in Louisiana. The groom is the son of an old oilfield buddy of mine, we go back to 1974. This is the first TC (El Roy) shoot or any shoot since I have been hanging around with the Houston gang, that I have missed. I promise to be at the next one.
I would prefer to be at the shoot but there are some obligations that must be done.

The Aransas Pass shoot we had some years ago was a good one. I am sure this one will be good as well. If you say please I will cook for the 2013 shoot.
I love shooting but the best thing about a TC shoot is being with good people that are patriots and honoring TC (El Roy)

Hello dear friends. How exciting your plans sound .. I do wish I could be part of it this year but between $$$, health & logistics, well, it wont work this year. I hope you all have safe trips and a wonderful time together, socializing, eating, drinking & of course shooting the bull as well as guns! I will miss doing the photography this year. I am much better at shooting a camera than a gun as it turns out. Y’all stay out of trouble now! Much love from Ohio
