United Nations M-113 armored personnel carriers and transports participating in Iranian military pass in review.
Can there be a greater indictment of the United Nations? Is this the organization that the world is depending upon to watch over Irans nuclear program?

I’m surprised the UN has time to march in an Iranian parade! I thought all their time was taken up with child prostitution in Africa, and bringing cholera to Haiti!
...as if we needed any further proof of the U.N. being in bed with the Muzzies, including Bad Boy Iran......All Things Anti-Israel, donchaknow.
They’re disgusting.

NutJobs and UN ... birds of a feather ...
I think people need to worry about our southern border a whole lot more than an imaginary threat from Iran.
“The United Nations offices in Iran work in partnership with the government to respond to national development priorities and emerging needs of the country. They agree on programs of cooperation with government according to their development and humanitarian mandates. UN works not only with the government, but also with partners in the non-governmental sectors as part of the projects and programs agreed with the government.”
Since when is a regime military parade considered as some sort of emergency or humanitarian effort?
Seeing as Hezbollah is a wing of the Pasdaran and Hezbollah has had a known presence on the US-Mexican border since at least 2005 according to FBI director Mueller’s own testimony before Congress, I would hardly call the threat from Iran imaginary and I would advise not decoupling our border insecurity from the Iranian threat. After all, Iran is the world’s foremost sponsor of Jihadist terrorism.
I would also suggest that we ignore our porous northern border at our peril as well. After all, only the good fortune of an alert border guard prevented an attrocity from occurring at LAX in 2000 and that bomb and bomber were coming across from Canada...
Hezbollah is of a totally different purpose and structure than al-Qaeda, otherwise Hezbollah’s sleeper cells would have already struck us hard and often. Hezbollah in the US is Iran’s ultimate instrument of desperate self defense. If we can manage to leave Iran alone, Hezbollah will continue sleeping in the US.
And I think you’re 100% right about the oft forgotten Canadian border.
Iran and Hezbollah do not act simply based on our actions. The idea that if “we just leave Iran alone” they will leave us alone is dangerously naive and childish. History has shown that simply hiding and hoping evil goes away does not work. Iran’s constitution has a requirement that they export the Islamic revolution globally. Hezbollah’s presence here cannot be ignored, nor can Iran’s nuclear program.
“Hezbollah is of a totally different purpose and structure than al-Qaeda, otherwise Hezbollahs sleeper cells would have already struck us hard and often. Hezbollah in the US is Irans ultimate instrument of desperate self defense. If we can manage to leave Iran alone, Hezbollah will continue sleeping in the US.”
wow. There are 2 explanations for that denial/ignorance/naivete ....
Since this isn’t DU, you must be a Ron Paul supporter
Weren't there some countries where the UN would go in and rape the children? Thought that was in the news a few years ago - either them or the ACLU... (?)
Probably these were vehicles dating from the Shah era
and painted to look like UN peacemobiles.

Thanks LSUfan.
Sorry for the tardy reply. I wouldn’t call myself a Ron Paul supporter and I think some of the people on his bandwagon appear to be more motivated by an anti-Jewish sentiment than by a healthy America-first attitude. But I admit that I think Paul is to be commended for at least challenging the bipartisan consensus which has killed American soldiers, helped destroy our long-term fiscal security and has in the end has contributed to more Middle-Eastern instability and danger for all- including Israel. There are and always has been mean regimes in the world. We just don’t have the unlimited men and resources to fight them all.
