Congressman Canseco says TSA agent assaulted him during a pat-down

U.S. Rep. Francisco Canseco said he was assaulted by a TSA agent at the San Antonio International Airport.

The Texas Congressman said the security agent went too far during a pat-down earlier this month.

"The agent was very aggressive in his pat-down, and he was patting me down where no one is supposed to go,” said Canseco. “It got very uncomfortable so I moved his hand away. That stopped everything and brought in supervisors and everyone else."

Canseco told the KENS 5 I-Team the agent said he too was assaulted when Canseco pushed his hand away.

According to TSA, neither man was cited.

A week later when going through the San Antonio International Airport, Canseco was once again selected for a pat-down.

"I did not see it as a coincidence,” he said. “I asked them why are you going to pat me down again, so we discussed it further and after discussing it further, they patted me down."

However, before the discussion was over San Antonio Police Department officers were called to the security check point area.

Again, no one was cited.

TSA issued the I-Team the following statement about the incident:

"TSA incorporates random and unpredictable security measures throughout the airport. Once a passenger enters the screening process, they must complete it prior to continuing to a flight or secure area."

Good. I’m glad that our elected officials are being molested too. Maybe if it happens more often, they’ll stop the BS.

I refuse to fly because of this. Not because of an assault on me but if TSA lays a hand on my daughter, I’ll remove their hands from their body. So, it’s best if I just avoid the potential dismemberment completely by just not flying at all. That way, my daughter doesn’t get molested, a TSA agent doesn’t get disability benefit because of me, and I don’t go to jail for going sideways on some pervert with a badge.

I could have written your post - daughter and all. Unfortunately, most of SWMBO’s family is in Mexico, and I refuse to drive there.

Here’s hoping to TSA having the gonads to seriously molest as many Congresscritters as possible - LET them face the same indignities that they’ve foisted on us. It’s the only way to get those fascistic child molesters under control.

By the way, now that the War on Terror has been declared over, and since TSA never caught any terrorists anyway, can we finally get rid of the American Gestapo?

Let us all recall the moment when Senator Charles Schumer (Demagogue, NY) told us that when private airport security personnel were federalized they would be more “professional”.

Thank you Sen. Schumer. I haven’t flown, nor intend to, since the violation of passengers has become routine.

I really think they just wanted to see how much we’d put up with. If they could photograph us naked or touch our genitals, then they knew they could spring the full-on tyranny. That comes this summer.

If the TSA had existed on 9/11/2001, the attacks would still have happened as boxcutters were not prohibited items at the time.

TSA has been reactive at every turn rather than proactive as the Israelis are.

They were never effective in the war on terror IMO.

The only way to get rid of these **********s now is to defund them after a majority of us refuse to put up with their B.S.

I haven't been on a commercial flight since 1992 and don't intend to do so ever again until I can smoke and carry my pocket knife.

Canseco is not getting the picture yet. They are going to pat him down every time he comes through that airport. Good. Maybe now the congress will get rid of the TSA.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking:  What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?  Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?  The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

Absolutely no one should be exempt from the TSA “experience” including the First Family, Supreme Court, Congress, the Pope, Santa Claus, etc. May I suggest a congress introduce a bill that in effect requires it for ALL.

Rep. Canseco still does not understand the situation — he should travel in muslim garb and they’ll go easy on him so as not to offeeeeeeend him.

After all, wasn’t one of the 9/11 hijackers named Canseco from Texas?

I beg to differ. I think they will give him the celebrity treatment if they realize he is a Congressman.

Why anyone tolerates that nonsense is just insanity.

No sympathy from thinking people sorry. Boo hoo.

Of course, when you are retired, you have the luxury of doing that........We live in a beauriful country, anad I love traveling it’s with and breath on secondary roads. (IMO, if you’ve driven one interstate, you’ve pretty kuch driven them all.)

We like to travel at our own schedule—we are never in a hurry unless we want to be these days.

In these TSA stories, what they're doing doesn't sound like security, it sounds like something else.

I hope these are the exceptions and procedures are being changed to keep them few and far between.

If we are at war, I hope the war isn't against ourselves and the few rules that keep us civilized.
