Top Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs defended a new ad which argues Mitt Romney would not have launched the raid to capture Osama bin Laden last year.
Gibbs, said the advertisement featuring President Bill Clinton and questioning whether Romney would have ordered the mission to kill bin Laden, one year after the raid, was “not over the line.”
“Look, just a few years ago. President Obama, then a candidate said in a speech that if we had actionable intelligence of a high value target in Pakistan we’d go in and get that high value target,” said Gibbs on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday. “Mitt Romney said that was foolish, he wouldn’t do such a thing. They wouldn’t move heaven and earth to get Osama bin Laden.”
The ad in question uses footage of from an interview with Clinton for the 17-minute pro-Obama film “The Road We’ve Traveled.” “[Obama] took the harder, and the more honorable path,” Clinton says in the featured clip, referring to the decision to authorize the strike in Pakistan to capture bin Laden.. "He had to decide. And that's what you hire the president to do. You hire the president to make the calls when no one else can do it."

I don’t think Mr. Gibbs knows what a line is
Gibbs needs to be informed that Obama didn’t make the call to go after Bin Laden either.
What if the second helicopter had crashed too. You can bet “Mr Gusty” would have denied all knowledge of this “raid” and some heads would have rolled at the Pentagon.
This whole issue shows how stupid, stupid, stupid Romney and his stupid, stupid, stupid RINO buddies really are.
All you have to do, is say, “Good for you, Mr. President, for allowing our military carry out the mission former President Bush assigned to them... now can we move on and talk about the treasonous promises you’ve made to the Russians behind the backs of the American people?”
That’s all they have to say. But like McCain before them, they can’t criticize a black man.
The truly despical,nauseating thing is that they’re able to say this stuff with a straigt face.And their pals in the media are able to listen to it with a straight face.

I guess ole BJ conveniently forgot he was offered bin Laden’s head four times and turned them all down because he considered it a law enforcement issue.
Biden is making a big deal out of it because he, himself, was so surprised that Zero would have allowed it.

I will disagree because shades of the Carter disaster was looming. Political go-ahead was required. The fact that this ass-hat is saying anything more about it only solidifies his need to keep people at odds with each other. He is no more than a polished Al Sharpton.

Zer0 really didn’t order the mission in spite of all his self-back patting. He walked out of the meeting and let the general do the ordering. If the mission had gone bad zer0 would NOT have taken responsibility. Fortunately for the general it went well.
And how is “Baghdad Bob” Gibbs going to reconcile Obama’s toughness on terrorism (which is clearly the purpose of this ad) with Obama’s close ties with the Islamists (PA, MB, NBPP, etc.) ?!!
All these socialists are cut from the same cloth. They all believe in the ‘ends justify the means’. They are the ‘Vichy Americans’ who would sell out to an invading power just for the opportunity to rule over the rest of us.
Bush made the decision, created the team, and set it in motion. The most that zero did was to not countermand the Bush decision. And, he left it up to some Admiral to “decide.”
I wonder if Obama knows whether or not I’ll go to Lowe’s today? If he does know, I wish he’d tell me.
