New Obama slogan has long ties to Marxism, socialism

The Obama campaign apparently didn't look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, "Forward" — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.

Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name "Forward!" or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called "Forward (generic name of socialist publications)."

"The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications," the online encyclopedia explains.

The slogan "Forward!" reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.

The Obama campaign released its new campaign slogan Monday in a 7-minute video. The title card has simply the word "Forward" with the "O" having the familiar Obama logo from 2008. It will be played at rallies this weekend that mark the Obama re-election campaign's official beginning.

There have been at least two radical-left publications named "Vorwaerts" (the German word for "Forward"). One was the daily newspaper of the Social Democratic Party of Germany whose writers included Friedrich Engels and Leon Trotsky. It still publishes as the organ of Germany's SDP, though that party has changed considerably since World War II. Another was the 1844 biweekly reader of the Communist League. Karl Marx, Engels and Mikhail Bakunin are among the names associated with that publication.

East Germany named its Army soccer club ASK Vorwaerts Berlin (later FC Vorwaerts Frankfort).

Vladimir Lenin founded the publication "Vpered" (the Russian word for "forward") in 1905. Soviet propaganda film-maker Dziga Vertov made a documentary whose title is sometimes translated as "Forward, Soviet" (though also and more literally as "Stride, Soviet").

Forward (generic name of socialist publications)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other leftwing newspapers and publications. For example, Vpered (Russian language for 'Forward') was the name of the publication that Lenin started after having resigned from the Iskra editorial board in 1905 after a clash with Georgi Plekhanov and the Mensheviks.[1]

Publications named Forward (in different languages)
Avante!, organ of the Portuguese Communist Party
Avanti!, organ of the Italian Socialist Party
Eteenpäin, Finnish-language newspaper in the United States
Forverts/The Forward, a Yiddish/English newspaper from New York
Új Elore ('New Forward'), a Hungarian-language newspaper in the United States
Voorwaarts!, organ of the Communist Youth Movement (Netherlands)
Vorwärts, organ of the Social Democratic Party of Germany
Vorwärts!, published from Paris in 1844 and associated with the Communist League

Forward. I could not believe it when I saw it. What a message for May Day leftists.

Almost like telling them to have at it.

Forward is the state motto of Wisconsin. Really. It is. It’s even on our flag!

Maybe THAT'S why he picked it.

Maybe they did, but never thought that we would, and publicize the fact using their own words to prove he's a Commie SOB.

wisconsin.gov tells us that the state adopted the motto "Forward" in 1851.

Marx wrote the Manifesto in 1848, so I doubt that word got to Wisconsin that quickly.

They shoulda sued for a copyright violation. :-D

This is either really good or really bad. On one hand, they are emboldened enough to show their hand and reveal themselves as the communists they are in time for us to rally against them. On the other hand, they have already fixed the election and know they can’t lose, so it is time to rally the party faithful under the red banner for the revolution. I think that its the latter and the time is coming for people to decide what they are willing to tolerate and what is worth dying for. I really never thought that it would come to this in the United States.

In other words, his Marxist tendencies are ‘hidden in plain sight’ but still the lamestream media refuse to acknowledge it.

“Forward!” was the slogan of the Italian Fascists.

Here is the song they taught the school children in Mussolini’s Italy. My mother never forgot it.

Fascisti Avanti!
Camicia nera,
È un simbolo,
Dela vita scheda!

Which means ...

Fascists Forward!
The black shirt,
Is a symbol
Of the ordered life.

School children are already singing praises to 0bama0. They may as well include this little chanson while they salute the giant photo of the Dear Leader at the front of the classroom.

Nully, no one could even make this stuff up.

All they need is to make the signs red and black and have a little hammer and sickle in the corner.

I’d like to deface any signs possible to deface with an “Off into the Abyss” right after the “Forward” part.

Now that they have let their Democrat House members go down in flames in 2010 by exposing their true socialist agenda, mindlessly torched their chances with the independents, blue collars, and everyone not associated with the radical left wing Democrats, these people are now letting it all hang out and going for broke with their real identity.
