It is IMPERATIVE that conservatives work tirelessly to elect the maximum number of conservatives to the House and the Senate....otherwise your words are meaningless

Wrong!

You will NEVER see me post anything like hold your nose and vote for Romney on this site. However, there will be many other posters here that will do that. I won’t be one of them.

You are right in that we must do what we can to elect those who believe as we do. That must never change.

But whether or not most do, I stand by my statement. A country that would willingly vote for the things MR has a record of doing is done as anything resembling America. We are merely at this point trying to minimize the damage on the outside chance a miracle will happen.

Until the majority of the ‘right wing’ population changes what they believe and are no longer willing to allow their votes to contribute to the dead baby count (because dent it all they like, they are empowering a man who will escalate that count), among other things, then they will continue to be shocked and their beibers stuned when they get exactly the things they cast their vote in support of.

Wow! Vote for a lib and get lib policy/laws! What a surprise! Never saw that coming! /s

If course they could grow a pair, stand on their hind legs (for a change) and vote for what they really believe in.

Then again, perhaps with the Mitt vote, they are.

As an interesting thought experiment consider this....IF you were able to vote when Hitler was running for Chancellor and IF you understood exactly what Mein Kampf meant....would you have said voting for the other guy wasn’t acceptable because he was only slightly less evil?

If you vote for a person, you are voting to give him the power to act on his beliefs, whatever they are. Period.

Exactly. And so well stated - right to the point! These 'so called' conservatives here, and including those *powers* that were elected on their rhetoric are not serious voters, only loud and I doubt they are even capable of thinking that far, the *powers* too politically hungry that they became sellouts who don't take their own beliefs seriously or don't have beliefs that represent this country. And I don't care what they say or how many times they say *GOD* their actions tell the real story what's really WITHIN them - evil - to sellout out our 'one nation under God'.

I now consider myself an elitist

Well I haven't changed but I consider them haters of God, Family, Country. And they picked their candidate accordingly. There is no God/Family/Country in a bishop of a cult, same sex marriage, pro baby killer, socialistic style healthcare candidate.

It was a unbelievable weak crop of candidates!

We don't need a 'crop' - just need one good candidates who actually has the credentials to be president, has a proven record as a fighter/defender FOR America/Our Constitution and not just with rhetoric but with the ability/know how and willingness to return our country to the right track.

And that is NEWT. And the ONLY one who could defeat obama - with his knock out style and knowledge. No OTHER candidate existed like that - he actually stood out from the crowd. How come you didn't notice?

His enemies did with their attacks and lies.

I understand what Romney’s record is and what it represents.

It’s a lot like Obama’s.

The people of Germany allowed a Hitler to come to power bu turning their backs on right and wrong before him. Right is right, wrong is wrong. Voting for someone/something who/that is wrong does not make things right. Just no way around that. Magical thinking results in people believing that there can be a ‘lesser evil’. Especially when the ‘lesser evil’ has the record it does.

So in sum...Right is right, wrong is wrong and evil is evil. Vote knowing those simple facts of life.

This evening at a Tea Party meeting someone said, the GOP in D.C. will never allow a conservative to win the primary.” I believe it. I still thing we should join the Constitution Party and build it large enough to take our country back. I will still vote for Newt in the primary on May 8. I will vote Tea Party candidates for delegates (we have 4 committed delegates for Newt already). I will vote for Tea Party candidates in every position on the ballot. Our Tea Party is concentrating on taking down the democrat network in WV. It may take a few years, but we are determined to start at the bottom and work our way up for a conservative legislature. Then we can elect patriots to send to Wash.

The first thing people have to do is come to the acceptance that the GOP no longer believes their own platform. That is a demonstratable fact. I was a Repub from my 18th birthday until last year. I argued endlessly with people who told me that the party was worth saving. I no longer do that. They were right.

Like an alcoholic/drug addict, the person or entity cannot be saved until it WANTS to be saved. It will not help itself and you or I cannot help it. So we have a choice. We can band together and get behind a party who shares our values, with the knowledge that it too can be corrupted every bit as bad as the Dem/GOP, or just let it all crash and burn, then if enough of us are left, start over.

Either way, the Dem/GOP will rule for the foreseeable future and it’s gonna suck. It’s gonna hurt everyone whether they will swallow their pride and admit it, or not. Personally I’m of the mind to stand aside and let Utopia burn because I do not see any other realistic way to save, like the alcoholic/druggies mentioned above, something that does not want to be saved.

Periodically throughout history, empires self implode. Those that think America is immune are wrong. Well, “America” may have been, but we aren’t in that country anymore IMO. And I am not proud of thinking that way, but I truly believe the facts on the ground back that up.

Newt had his chance.

His “Knock-Out” style in the Fla debates failed him.

I did notice that.

You can still support Newt by donating your hard earned money
to help pay down his massive campaign debt. He needs u now more than ever.

Backbiting Socks Conservatives (whose beliefs change when needed) failed him and the rest of us. He had a better record than anyone in the chase on issues important to us. Issues that matter.

That he now turns his back on people who turned their backs on him, well, I don’t agree with it, but it isn’t surprising. Reap what you sow and all that.

In your thinking Hitler still wins and becomes exactly what he promised he would.

I hope in our world that O does not receive the same largesse. The outcome will not be one you like in the least.

Hitler won/Obama will win for exactly the same reason. Good people, cowed by fear, act/ed with fear instead of doing what they know to be right. The result was no real opposition to the dictator. History shows that to be the case.

Of course I won’t like it. Nor would I like hearing the lamentations of the ‘conservatives’ that voted for him, should he miraculously win and do his patented flip flop etch a sketch routine. And only the greatest of self deluding fools believes that Mitt Romney will govern conservatively when we have his record and the words of his very campaign surrogates saying he will not (etch a sketch).

Palin was slimed, Cain was smeared and Gingrich wasn’t good enough. So we have Romney. Well, some ‘have’ him. I’m going to vote for a person who shares my values and beliefs. They are traditional conservative beliefs. People in America have a choice. They can all join me and win or vote for a liberal and lose. I am making the right choice. If your fellow Americans don’t, blame them.
