If this is how Dan Rather at peace looks like, wonder what he's like when angry and embittered . . .
On Morning Joe today, Rather emphatically alleged that he was "at peace" over the Memogate fiasco that led to the end of his career. But he couldn't help himself from suggesting that his reputation had been destroyed by anonymous partisans employing "lies."

I think he really believes himself. His arrogance forbids him from recognizing the obvious: that the documents were crude forgeries.

The poor guy's career was, WAS I say, absolutely destroyed by vicious lies. The fact that he told the lies has nothing to do with this.
Since when is a TV "journalist" supposed to be a slave to facts? TV "journalism" is INFOTAINMENT. It is supposed to be free and creative, fun, even! (And to keep Republicans in their place) It is unfair for a named partisan, like Dan, to be destroyed by "anonymous partisans," over a trivial difference of creative news opinion.
Actually, the documents were slick forgeries. Too tidy for the era they supposedly represented.
