Virgil Goode Polling 5% in Virginia
Independent Political Report ^ | May 1st, 2012

Posted on 05/02/2012 9:47:32 AM PDT by SoConPubbie

Virgil Goode is a former Congressman from Virginia as well as the current Presidential nominee of the Constitution Party. He has lived in Virginia all his life and the family name “Goode” means something in the area due to he and his father’s political careers. Now Public Policy Polling has found that Goode scores 5% against Obama and Romney in Virginia, even when an “Other” option is included.

Another interesting angle in Virginia is the candidacy of former Congressman Virgil Goode as the Constitution Party candidate for President. We find him polling at 5% in a three way contest with Obama’s lead over Romney expanding to 12 points at 50-38. It seems unlikely Goode would ultimately get 5% but anything he gets could help flip the state to Obama given how small Romney’s margin for error there is. Goode gets 10% from those describing themselves as ‘very conservative,’ suggesting that Romney does still have some work to do with the far right.
As always, the disclaimer here is that polling numbers for third parties and independents tend to decline as we approach election day.

If everyone who claims to be a conservative or anti- socialist got behind Goode and dumped the socialists, Goode would WIN.

So... What are YOU waiting for?

I’ll be wasting my vote on Goode in November.

The Falcon Party is very unhappy with this. They were counting on your vote.

NO third party. Unite and vote out < insert incumbent Demo name here > first. THEN let us work on < insert RINO name here > when he’s in the WH. .

Like a lot of other soft conservatives, he'd rather lose with someone safe without trying, then take a chance on losing with a decent candidate but having actually tried to do something.

Keyes experience in running against Obozo is getting beaten by 60% of the vote.

Wrong my FRiend, Alan Keyes only lost to Obama by 43 points. He could easily make that up this time around as a write-in candidate! It's his time! If not now, when? Teach the establishment a lesson - Vote Alan Keyes for President (write-in) 2012.

C'mon now. Obama edged out a victory over Keyes by a mere 43 points, undoubtedly due to voter fraud. Keyes is rested and ready!

Alan Keyes! Winning!

If everyone else on this forum gets to be totally delusional, I want to as well!

Have reconsidered whether to vote for Romney or not due to your multitude of well-thought-out insults. Insults always make me change my mind. /s

Answer is still no. And after your flaming post: NO!

That’s the spirit. I’ve got a horse running in the fifth race at 1,000,000,000 to 1. I know it has only three legs, but I think it could finish in the money. Your the kind a guy I’m looking for to bet on this horse. So are you in?

So what he’ll lose by 30-40% this time. Get serious!

If we can boost Goode to 10%, and another 20% who will never vote for Romney or Obama show up for down ticket votes, that'll make it look like Virgil got 15% or more of the presidential vote.

That's probably enough to mortify Boling and his running dog Mittbots.

That’s madness - I WILL NOT COMPROMISE - I found a thing once that I disagree with Keyes on. Could have been some foreign policy issue, might have been pizza topping, I forget. I’m writing my name in; any one else is a disgrace to my principled principles.

There's really no more Republican party in Virginia. That thing disappeared when they held a presidential primary no one attended.

A vote for Virgil is a vote for a future, and a new political party in Virginia. Sure, it'll be mostly Republicans, but it might even attract Douglas Wilder and his half-million followers.

Oh, I see. So it’s OK to give your money to people who want to destroy the country as long as you do it through an intermediary and pretend you didn’t know.

Got it.

Exactly! I live on the east coast so I'll be able to go to bed early knowing I'll be waking up to a sunny day in America and a Alan Keyes landslide!!!

Alan Keyes! Winning!

Romney can always drop out. One of the good reasons for him doing that occurred the other day when he finally did something that PROVED he didn't really know any Republicans ~ not Conservatives, not Libertarians, not Establishment, not Countryclubbers, not coupon clippers, not elected officials ~ just no one.

That's when he went out and hired an activist FOR gay marriage to be his foreign policy advisor ~ like he'd be sending that dude to Saudi to negotiate oil policy eh.

If he had asked one single Republican about that beforehand he'd learned all about 2006 when the Democrats and the MSM beat us around the head and shoulders over the question of homosexuality in the ranks ~ see: Mark Foley, Senator Craig, RNC Chairman Mehlman, ........ and others.

It's pretty clear Romney is running in the wrong party, and for the wrong office. We need to see some real campaign pros get to work and find us a legitimate candidate. Else, we need to vote for ANYBODY BUT ROMNEY OR OBAMA.
