EU PLOT TO SCRAP BRITAIN
UK Daily Express ^ | Friday May 4,2012 | By Macer Hall

SENIOR Eurocrats are secretly plotting to create a super-powerful EU president to realise their dream of abolishing Britain and other nation states, the Daily Express can reveal.

A covert group of EU foreign ministers has drawn up plans for merging the jobs currently done by Herman Van Rompuy, president of the European Council, and Jose Manuel Barroso, president of the European Commission.

The new bureaucrat, who would not be directly elected by voters, is set to get sweeping control over the entire EU and force member countries into ever-greater political and economic union.

Solution: Make the UK into the 51st US state.

*We speak the same language.
*We share a legal system rooted in common law.
*We share similar cultural values (independence, value of the individual, irreverence for authority, Christian heritage)
*The UK and the US are much closer to each other than the UK is with the continent.
*The UK could privatize all of their titled nobility — making them ceremonial with no legal authority, like “Queen for a Day” or beauty pageant Queens.

The new bureaucrat, who would not be directly elected by voters...

Let me suggest to these "planners" that, in order to cement the role of this new leader, that he wear some sort of circlet or wreath on his head. To make it real special, this ornament could have embedded jewels, even make it out of some precious metal.

I've wondered about the possibility of this too from time to time. But with twice the population of California you would be talking about 6 or 7 states, not just 1.

Nuke it from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

it’s tin-foil. Murdoch’s newspapers are knee-jerk anti-EU. The EU is increasingly stupid and should be scrapped, but not for the 666 reason (which incidently fits in better with the British Empire with Brittania riding a beast etc.) than with the chaotic, declining EU.

Not true. They've had van Rompuy as the “permanent” appointed president since November '09—a position originally intended to replace the rotating presidency per the Treaty of Lisbon. Now, the “Berlin Group” has plans to merge the posts of President of the European Commission and this President into a so-called Super-President with far-reaching powers.

The UK didn’t give up the Pound and use the Euro because they knew full well what not being in control of the printing presses would mean.

They would never give up the Pound for the Dollar for the same reason.

To accomplish this, Europe will require an economic collapse that threatens the social safety net.

Option A: Keep your national identity and enact strict austerity programs.

Option B: Submit to a new, consolidated EU that can shed all its debt and maintain the social programs the citizens are addicted to.

Opponents fear the plan could create a modern-day equivalent of the European emperor envisaged by Napoleon Bonaparte or a return to the Holy Roman Empire of Charlemagne that dominated Europe in the Dark Ages.

They have good reason to fear. We were told a thousand or so years ago that this was going to happen.

This is not a surprise at all. Everything that the Holy Spirit told us is going to happen before the return of Christ is happening, and will continue to happen.

Jesus Christ is man's only hope.

I'm sorry. As much as I love our cousins in Britain, they've gone much too far down the road to of socialism to make them a part of our union.

i don't think they'd much like it either, as they'd have to dump the queen, gun control, and a lot of other stuff that just wouldn't mesh here.

“They would never give up the Pound for the Dollar for the same reason.”

OK, good point. I wonder. Could a US state issue its own currency or is that forbidden in the Constitution?

Seems like we could make an exception to the new US state of UK.

I’d like it if we had a similar arrangement as exists between the UK and Ireland. Free trade, free movement of people and defacto common citizenship, but with seperate and completely independent governments.
Legally speaking there is almost no difference between an Irish and a British citizen living in either country and it has worked pretty well over the past 90 years or so...

Actually it reminds me more of Hitler’s ambitions for Europe. I mean, Europe is almost “Judenrein” and now it will be controlled by a dictatorship.

I figure the UK would make about three or four states, at least: England, Wales, Scotland, maybe Cornwall and possibly couple of other areas that would want separate representation.

But do we really want that many new Democrat voters?
