West Virginia has never been a hospitable state for President Barack Obama. Still, the results of Tuesday’s balloting seem to mark some kind of low point.

Democrats–those are members of the president’s party–voting in the West Virginia presidential primary gave 40% of their votes to a man whom the Associated Press identified as a federal prison inmate.

Keith Judd is serving time at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas for making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999, the AP reported. With 90% of precincts reported, he had 40.3% of the vote to Mr. Obama’s 59.7%

Judd had my vote in Kanawha County!

I’m proud of the counties that he won! Those results ought to, but won’t, be headlines in our liberal newspapers here in Charleston WV.

Might one dare to suggest that this is a much more accurate measure of Obama’s popularity, so-called, than any number of CNN polls and/or polls of other networks and pollsters...

Between Indiana, Wisconsin and now this, voters are surely sending a message. I would bet the Dems are wishing they had another candidate besides Obama. Now if Romney wants a victory he needs to pick a tea party vp, and a float a very conservative cabinet before the election.

Nice. I don’t remember W having this much trouble in the 2004 primaries.

If Judd ever gets out he could have a bright future!! ;d

Obama could get under 40% in WV. It would be nice if this had some effect on downballots races, Senate and Governor especially. Come on WV if you hate Obama why vote for his b*tch Joe Manchin?

I would love to see the Romney team develop a sense of humor and start campaigning against Judd.
Just ignore obama.

Hey, the people have spoken.

“Obama could get under 40% in WV.”

I joked on another thread that Obama could come in third nationally this November...might not be a joke afterall.

The gay stunt yesterday was his “4th and 35, 5 seconds left, from his own 10 yard line, down by 7, heave it down the field, hope for a TD catch and 2 point conversion” play.

He’s done and he knows it.

“Come on WV if you hate Obama why vote for his b*tch Joe Manchin?”

Exactly! Why?
