Since Romney als supports gay marriage, I don’t see how this is a nail in his coffin... or even a factor at all.
Twhat Romney said today:
“Well, when these issues were raised in my state of Massachusetts, I indicated my view, which is I do not favor marriage between people of the same gender, and I do not favor civil unions if they are identical to marriage other than by name, Romney said, per Fox31 Denver News. My view is the domestic partnership benefits, hospital visitation rights, and the like are appropriate but that the others are not. “
Works for me and I’ll take it.
Romney has an out; which he's been consistent on from the get go. He'll say that yes he did do it in Mass., as the governor, and that it is a state issue, and the Federal government has no business in it. That will put the ball back into obama's court. He either agrees with state sovereignty, or he says that the Federal government's wishes are more important than the states.
How well do you think either one of those answers will go over with certain portions of the population?
Unlike Obama, Romney will wait till AFTER the election to fess up, He is not counting on donations from donors that demand he admit it.
I agree. Romney is trying to play both sides here. He’s for Gay Marriage.
He’s flipped on other issues, unlike Newt who’s been pretty clear thru out, but let’s face it folks, he turned out to be a crappy campaigner with a crappy team right out of the gate.
