One of the twins. Sad news for any Swamp People fans.

Oh no.
Besides Troy, the Brothers were the only ones I actually liked.
What a shame.

I watched the show for the first time yesterday at mom's. My first thought was these guys give rural people a bad name. My second was one of these guys is going to get killed. I guess I was right. I worked in the logging and tree care industry for 20 years. I don't see how they get away with the unsafe crap they pull for the camera. OSHA should be up thier a*s. They are lucky more haven't got killed. Gives the industry a bad name.

Indeed it is. Yet we may be consoled to a degree by the surmise that dying in such a way is what he would have preferred.

RIP Mitchell....prayers for Glenn. I hope Glenn survives this loss. They were thick as thieves.

Very sad news...I loved watching the Guist brothers.

Awww, this is sad. I actually like those guys and love the show. The brothers epitomized the “image” most people who have never lived in deeply rural areas have of folks like these. I’ll bet it amused them too.
What many don’t seem to notice is that what these people lack in social graces they own in self-sufficiency and a long history of close community. Far from being stupid, they have a wealth of knowledge that allows them to live a very unique lifestyle.

Couple of good 'ol boys. They did have a great liking of all things fried. Not trying to play doctor. Just sayin'.
Anyway, a major reason why I watched the show. Funny as heck.

you know, here in Asia, we get anti American propaganda on CNN and the BBC, and MTV and the other network shows often show the evil side of the USA: promiscuous women, greedy men, vulgar language, and if I were black, I’d sue them for their mainly one sided view of black America (Hispanic and Asian America are almost absent on these shows)...
But on the other hand, we have the greatest catch, swords, swamp people, dirty jobs etc. that give people a view of real Americans...who work hard for a living and are proud to do it.
Bless this guy and his family.
