“Regarding Sprint cars, when they run, they are exciting. When they stall they suck.”

True, when not enough push trucks are available. If the track runs sprint cars regularly they usually have enough to keep delays to a minimum. Well worth the wait IMHO!!

As long as Jimmie Johnson is racing, I’ll watch.:)

Big-time sports in general have just gotten so overloaded with sponsorship bling-bling that they are just about unwatchable.

These days I much prefer a high school football game, a minor league baseball game, or the local dirt track races.

Nothing says NASCAR like Lenny Kravitz at the Daytona 500.
It’s over.

“How about if you’re not in the lead lap by the last 50 miles, you’re out of the race? Only the lead lap continues to the finish?”

An improvement possibly but I honestly believe points per position per lap would make everyone aggressive and to fight for every position even if they were a lap or more down as they would be racing for position.

Interesting, but the winner of the race won't always be the first person across the finish line.

When the government stopped the tobacco companies from advertising ticket prices went up for all forms of racing and other events such as concerts

NASCAR’s move toward PC and away from country conservative is what’s hurting them...

No the winner will always be the winner for payout $$$$ and the various perks associated with taking the checker.

They may not win as many championship points however. There would be a big point bump for the last lap but if they sat in the back of the pack all night/day long playing it safe, they would take a hit in championship points.

As it is now, most, not all, races are pretty boring until the last 50 laps.

2 years ago when we went to the Bristol night race, had it not been for the incredibly loud engine noise you could have fell asleep until the end and not missed a heck of a lot.
