My retort to that is to ask them ‘why don’t you pay more?’ they tend to call me the evil rich right winger but I toss that back to ‘I never said anyone should pay more. you did. so again, why don’t YOU pay more?’

They have no intention of paying more. they just want everyone ELSE to.

I still think the stock market is a tad overvalued, especially given the continuing issues of high unemployment. The DJIA should be more like somewhere between 11,700 to 12,000.

Heading for the cliff and the passengers voted to slam on the...accelerator! You’re right. Braking might annoy someone. It’s uncomfortable. Let’s hit the gas instead!

Austerity sounds strict. Getting our spending in order really isn’t austerity. It’s living within our means. Nearly everyone I know lives like that, making sure their income covers their expenses. Those that don’t, go bankrupt.

It’s time to tell people we simply cannot afford to live like this any longer. We could confiscate all the wealth owned by billionaires and the top 100 corporations and not fund this level of spending beyond the short term.

Over course, MrB is probably right. Stepping on the brake now would make our politicians even more unpopular than they already are. Therefore, it’s off the cliff for us!

They compare U.S. Debt to GDP . But they say GDP is mostly consumer spending. And U.S. consumers spend on stuff made in China.

The U.S. borrows trillions from China and other places to buy more things made in China. And the rest of the U.S. economy is in useless government welfare , government jobs , non profits( government grants), government contractors. We are done because of government spending and not having factories in the U.S.

Same here. Otherwise, the risks outweigh the possible rewards.

Saving to buy more 7.62x25mm. Best to get it while I can.

Letting Greece go likely will induce the other sick southern Euro countries to do what is necessary to avoid the same fate.

A coincidence that these southern European contries lie on what Carroll Quigley defined as The Pakistani-Peruvian axis? Perhaps not.

I got out of the market when BO was elected.

I was being investigated for insider trading because I always made money on every transaction...of course!

's not that they "have no qualms" about it; it's that they view it as a desirable outcome

Precisely. You get it 5 by 5, my friend. Few of us seem to want to acknowledge that reality. So here's the choice: face it standing with a gun in your hand or kneeling in front of a mass grave in the last moments of your life. Another one of those inconvenient lessons of history. Just ask Solzhenitsyn.

Glad I bought a big pile of Makarov when I picked up those CZ-82’s. And the 54(R) stuff is still unbelievably cheap at 90 bucks a can.

Spent a few hours at the range on Sunday. Mr. Rock River M-Forgery is running like a top feeding everything I put through it with only one hiccup. And that was one failure to lock the bolt back on an empty mag with some steel case Herters. Other than that they all went “bang”. I’ve been getting whatever I can lay my hands on, SP, HP, FMJ, with only two requirements:

It’s got to be cheap and the bullet weight has to be 62 grains. I theorized that as long as the bullet weight was the same they’d all hit about the same at “minute of bad guy” requirements. Seems my theory was right.

It’s time to restore the Rock Chucker to it’s rightful place, too. I’ve got piles of empty brass laying around and components that have been gathering dust. Best get busy filling them.

Time’s a wasting..

Say amen and hallelujah to getting the old press running again. It’s still the cheapest way for me to feed my Glock mod 20.

Few of us seem to want to acknowledge that reality.

I'm not real keen on acknowledging it myself.

I am, however, mindful of the words of Adm. Stockdale.

My memory is not serving me well at the moment - what did he say?

"This is a very important lesson. You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end—which you can never afford to lose—with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be."
