My lack of trust in Dewhurst was not helped with his dishonest dirty “Chinese tire copy deal” ad against Cruz.
Palin backs Cruz, she sure seems to have helped Fischer in Neb..
I say let’s keep Dewhurst where he is as Lt. Gov., a spot more aligned with GOPe.
Yep. Dewhurst is another KBH, Cornyn-type: semi-Conservative, bland, won’t do much of anything to advance a Conservative agenda. I’m getting tired of Texas Republicans this type to the Senate over and over... and then grumbling about it afterwards.
Time to get behind somebody who will finally shake things up.
Cruz fighting back against the International Court was what first brought his name to my attention and I’ve been following the guy ever since. I like him, he’s a no nonsense conservative who plants his feet and refuses to budge. He’s got both Palin and Mark Levin’s endorsement. Cruz is my choice this election.
After listening to a debate between all the candidates, I can see why Dewhurst would avoid public appearances. He's kind of a dumbass. He stammers and pauses before retelling a well rehearsed answer that sorta fits the question. Cruz, on the other hand, comes off as a true conservative evangelist... a true believer in the cause. And exceedingly smart and passionate.
I sure don’t like the Statistman taking up for Cruz. That gives me an uncomfortable feeling.
100% behind Cruz!
Consider Ted Cruz because Rand Paul, Dr. James Dobson, Gun Owners of America, Young Conservatives of Texas, Tea Party Express and many more back him...For those of you who like Mark Levin here is his endorsement - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UieLEwWqig
and for those Glenn Beck fans here is his take on the Dewhurst attack machine: http://web.gbtv.com/media/video.jsp?content_id=21316103
I don’t either. And can someone discount the Dewhurst ad against Cruz where he (Cruz) represented a Chinese firm that was found liable by a US trade court? He even appealed the case and got shot down again, so the story goes. China was forced to pay restitution. Why is this story false and why are Palin and Levin lining up behind Cruz?
As a roving election judge who never serves where he votes I’ll be voting early for Ted Cruz. Pain Power!
Cruz is basically guilty of working on an appellate brief that his employer assigned him.
I see this race as being between a party line vote(Dewhurst) and someone who will take a stand for limited government even when the party is wrong(Cruz).
Viva Cuba Libre!!!!!
The story has a basis in fact, however, Dewhurst is misleading everyone.
1. Both parties to the case manufacture tires in China for the last 20 years.
2. Both parties have appealed the various rulings
3. Ted never personally argued the case. Ted is an appellate lawyera lawyer who argues to courts of appeals, supreme court etc and helps ensure that U.S. law is properly applied. His writings on the case that I have read were regarding applying past precedents and rulings to the case.
4. Ted worked at a law firm and wrote briefs for the case
5. For something that Ted actually did, Ted Cruz actually argued in the Supreme Court against a Chinese Company who stole a U.S. Patent and Cruz Won!
6. Who the heck cares...we have big problems in Washington that have no relation to this case or anything related to it as far as I can tell.
Now look at the Dewhurst record and you can see why he is attacking so much...he has very little to stand on. Then look at the ho-hum Dewhurst plan and you will see it is safe targets like ending the green energy gravy train and obamacare.
Dewhurst is a politician as usual...I am POSITIVE I do not want another one of those going to DC to represent me.
I wouldn’t trust anything the [un]American [mis]Statesmen prints either, but the reason they gave was that Dewhurst avoided debates and public appearances while trying to buy the nomination through attack ads.
Go Cruz!
who or what is Statistman?
Austin American Statesman (local Austin newspaper).....just a simple misspelling
Same here. I haven't voted yet, so this makes me hesitant to vote for Cruz.
The Austin American Statesmen is a hard left propaganda arm of the DNC.
Perhaps it is a head-fake by them to hurt Cruz?
“Yep. Dewhurst is another KBH, Cornyn-type: semi-Conservative, bland, wont do much of anything to advance a Conservative agenda. Im getting tired of Texas Republicans this type to the Senate over and over... and then grumbling about it afterwards.”
Exactly.
They don’t seem to stand for anything, and Dewhursts’ no-shows at forum after forum are telling. It’s like we owe them the job.
We don’t.
Got it...I note that Fort Worth Star Telegram endorsed Tom Leppert and they are predicting a run-off election.
Are we seriously supposed to vote with the Editorial board of the Austin American Statesman? Not good advice! They’re certainly not the best judge of Conservatism.
Even the Statesman knows that the Lt. Governor spent around 100 days as acting governor, officially paid for more than 70 days, just in the few months that the Governor was running for President. This included much of the week when Central Texas was threatened by wildfires and Obama was denying the use of equipment in near by storage.
