Romney wants to repeal ObamaCare. But he wants to replace it with RomneyCare which is fundamentally the same thing, but he sees it even today as a free-market conservative solution. Mitt’s own father had been a Republican candidate for President, his mother for the Senate, Mitt had stormed off the Republican convention floor with his father, protesting against Goldwater and conservatism in 1964.
Telling us that Reagan had been a democrat, long ago, in an ancient and different America before he spent 40 years in the trenches, fighting hand to hand and becoming a conservative hero and changing the nation and the history of the world, doesn’t have any relevance, except for the fact that he could not penetrate Mitt Romney’s hatred for middle America, and conservatism, Mitt actually moved further left as Reagan and then HW Bush governed.
