What to make of the "ABC World News" report about George Zimmerman's injuries after shooting Trayvon Martin?
The TV analysts stepped in Tuesday night after ABC's Matt Gutman reported that Zimmerman's medical report showed the shooter had a broken nose, two black eyes and gashes on his head.
Zimmerman had refused to go to the hospital the night of the shooting, and his doctor treated him the next day, Gutman reported in his exclusive.
ABC's Dan Abrams said, "There's no question these documented injuries help Zimmerman's case, but the fundamental legal question remains: Who was the aggressor?"
Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder in Trayvon's death. Zimmerman has claimed self-defense.
Ben Crump, attorney for the Martin family, told CNN'sAnderson Cooper that Zimmerman's injuries needed to be put in full context. Crump highlighted that Zimmerman had neither a concussion nor stitches.
Trayvon Martin "didn't start this fight," Crump said.
But CNN's Jeffrey Toobin wanted to know how Crump knew that Zimmerman was the aggressor. Crump pointed to the 911 calls.
Crump said he "wanted everybody to wait until the full evidence comes out," even as he continued to blast Zimmerman....

Zimmerman would in older times be called a quadroon. But that ain’t so convenient now.
Oh, the strutter draws a blank.
Shooting blanks at me?
Another blank.
How do you DO that?
No, no, he’s not going to wait, he just wants everybody else to. Otherwise those “fact things” keep getting in the way of his made-up story.
Ohh, George Martin! Wasn't he the guy that produced "Helter Skittles" by the Teatles?
Wait, no...
Because if I knew George Zimmerman (and I actually went to school with a George Zimmerman as a kid) I would probably call him Zim.
If you look at my various posts, I call 'Martin' by such things as Trabant (as I did in right now in post #42), Trybon, etc. because it is a ludicrous, made up name. At times, I have to think to remember how it is really spelled. 'Martin' makes him sound like a serious person. Trylon makes him sound like a thug from the hood.
When an employer gets a resume, such names stand out as a signal. I want to send the same signal.
Just because someone else decides what to call these two people, it doesn't mean I don't get to decide, too. I am "guilty" of nothing.
They are Zim and Traylon to me.
I think it is the opposite. Millions of Americans see what the media and the left is doing to Zimmerman and think "that could be me". All for defending himself against a worthless thug. That is why I see the left doing a slow retreat from this.
“Trayvon Martin “didn’t start this fight,” Crump said.”
The evidence all indicates that Mr. Martin did indeed start this fight. He was the aggressor. He threw the first punch, breaking Mr. Zimmerman’s nose (and bruising his own knuckles). He beat Mr. Zimmerman’s head against the sidewalk, while Mr. Zimmerman screamed for help.
Mr. Crump has no evidence to support his claims. There is no evidence that Mr. Zimmerman committed a crime.
