Mobile homes are not very efficient to heat or cool due to poor insulation.

What is your electric cost per kwh ?

Not true. OLD mobile homes are not properly insulated. Mine has 2X6 walls with R21, floors with R30 and ceilings with R49. Except for sitting on a metal frame (that can be removed. mine is foundation ready) this house is built just like a regular brick and mortar house.

I think it’s 11 cents a kilowatt hour.

Good Question! I am in Oregon and most of our power is generated by hydro electric. .0377 per kwh total use was 876 Kwh in March/April. But the most shocking figure on my bill, something I have never noticed before are the other charges:

Oregon Tax

Public Purpose

Energy Conservation Charge

Low Income Assistance

JCBoyle Dam Removal

Copco & Iron Gate Dams Removal

What the hell? The environmentalists are taking the power companies to court to remove dams that generate power and apparently they have won and now we are paying for their removal. A total of $1.10 a month, for how long?
