Why the Obama Campaign Is Blowing the Election
American Thinker ^ | 05/18/2012 | Jim Yardley

The great puzzle of President Obama's re-election campaign is why previously successful political pros are creating so many ineffective initiatives that blow up in their faces like exploding cigars.

Take, for example, the Obama campaign's insistence that they can sell the narrative that Republicans in general, and of course Mitt Romney in particular, are waging a "War on Women." How many different ways can they try and fail? They've used Hillary Rosen as a stalking horse, a cartoon named "Julia," and on and on and on. Most normal people (and I am including Team Obama among the "normal" simply for the sake of argument) would try something once. If it fails, then they might assume that whatever they were trying needs a bit of tweak, and they'll try again. If the second try also crashes and burns, they might do it one more time, but only after some radical changes are made to the original plan. After the third disaster, almost everyone would conclude that there is a flaw in the basic assumption or in the plan, or even both.

Not those geniuses who are running the Obama and Company effort to get the man re-elected. They just keep trying the same tired old theme again, and again, and again. There's an old saw about insanity being illustrated by someone trying the same thing over and over but expecting a different result. I disagree with those who assume that Obama and Company are simply insane. Are they hard to relate to for anyone on the right, and equally so for anyone on the left who finds himself within shouting distance of the center? No question about that. But insane? No.

Because they know they can steal it.

Why the Obama Campaign Is Blowing the Election...

...like he did to Larry Sinclair.

The short answer is because they think they are smarter than us Rubes out here in TV-land.

They know more, and they know better, and they can't figure out why we the peasants can't understand them.

So exactly what else do they have to work with ... the Royal Idiot's record of accomplishments, perhaps?

Obama has a core constituency that would vote for him even if it were revealed to be a transvestite, triple-axe-murderer, child molesting illegal immigrant. He can make up the rest of the votes by fraud. “What, me worry?”

Of course they're floundering. The reason: 2012 isn't 2008.

He may be blowing the election for real.

While in office he has managed to get multi thousand page laws put into place that no one knows what they contain.

He has been living like a rock star while his czars run wild behind the scenes.

He has been setting the table for either another financial trainwreck or a terrorist attack.

IF neither of these things happen before the election, he could skip the country with all the dimrat campaign money and leave the mess for Romney to fix.

Clinton left quite a few timebombs for G W Bush.
obama has no attachment or concerns about our country.

What is to stop him from looting the democrat party’s bank account and skipping off to Kenya where he can live like a king. Hell he may become the ruler of Kenya in his second career.

Don’t put anything past this gang.

The 2008 election was a "Can't Lose" situation for the Obama campaign for a couple reasons; Bush's low numbers because of the economic and foreign policy situations and the lack of a dynamic GOP contender.

Under normal circumstances, the Obama campaign wouldn't have been successful, but the guys running it think because they won, it was their doing. But it was nothing more than a GOP gift.

In reality, these guys are like the blind squirrel who ran across a nut.

Ah, you had it up until the last phrase. They know why we peasants can't understand them, it's because we're too stupid. What frustrates them is that we just don't accept that they are so much smarter than us and yield to their superior decisions.

He probably even has a Kenyan Passport and a nice villa alongside Lake Victoria prepared for a scenario should things go too far south under his watch. Most dictators do.

Because they truly believe all the falsehoods which circulate in the Liberal Beltway bubble and are acting accordingly.

He won’t leave without Romney running after him trying to give him the win.

That’s exactly what I meant, though I didn’t say it right.

They can’t figure out why we don’t just accept their superiority.

There is a narrative out there, which even many conservatives believe, that libs are smarter than conservatives, more knowledgeable, shrewder and, thus, they can outmaneuver conservatives in the game of politics.

It’s a false narrative.

Their view is they don’t have to win the social issue questions—only keep voters focused on that instead of the economy.
