This should surprise no one. I remember Newsweek or Time magazine touting the demographic changes back in 1991 or 1992. We were told that the tipping point would be 2020. Thanks to illegal immigration, anchor babies, and a recession depressing fecundity of taxed families but leaving it unaffected for those on welfare, the date was pushed up 8 years.

Pat is wrong. The GOP will continue to survive. It will just become less conservative. In the worst case, we will become like NY or California, 1.5 party states. Democrats will run everything by default, but Republicans will be elected to fix things every once and a while, when the racial spoils system boils over.

My problem with the article - Hispanics are mostly genetically White. Once this is recognized as a truth - it changes everything.

Illegal aliens are leaving the country due to the bad economy and increased border security. Also, many immigrants use birth control after they’ve been here a while. So it might not be the catastrophe that Buchanan is predicting.

The only way to stop Balkanization is to dramatically reduce immigration, end the racial spoils system (affirmative action, ethnic studies, diversity commissars), and replace the suicide cult of muliticulturalism with Americanization.

It can be reversed, but the state will have to stop robbing the productive (who then opt for smaller families) to pay the unproductive (who are encouraged to have as many children as possible) & reform the immigration system accordingly pretty soon.

The formerly grand old party is not dying because of demographics. It is dying because it has abandoned principle.

The foundational principles of this nation have not a thing to do with skin-tone or ethnicity. Quite the contrary.

Those who opt for smaller families are, in general, more liberal than the national average. They are gradually wiping themselves out of existence. Those who favor babies are growing in numbers.

I appreciate your faith, but you really need to read your "Old Testament". This is not Yellowstone erupting. Our policies have created this. And the same cultural suicide has given us gay marriage, 80%+ rates of out of wedlock births, and below replacement rate reproduction. We abort our children for Mammon, while our taxes pay for those of everyone else.

Most Hispanic kids thus start school far behind. In tests of fourth-, eighth- and 12th-graders, their scores are closer to those of African-American kids than whites and Asians. Their dropout rate matches that of black kids.

From kindergarten through 12th grade, government educates their kids for free.

Obviously for about 60% of those kids the government schools don’t educate them enough for them to graduate.
