David Axelrod privately calls Barack Obama “Black Jesus,” according to Edward Klein’s fantastic new book, The Amateur (p. 59).

“[Barack Obama] is the living, breathing apotheosis of the American melting pot,” Klein quotes Axelrod as saying.

Axelrod, as we know, isn’t alone. According to Klein, Micah Tillman, lecturer in philosophy at the Catholic University of America, called Obama “the Platonic philosopher king we’ve been looking for the past 2,400 years.” And no less an authority than Oprah has called him “The One.”

It gets even better. As I remember he even had multiple wives. Basically, it was his far out flamboyance that first intrigued me many, many years ago!

Re Axelrod’s faith: He poses as Jewish but his mentors were communists/sympathizers (Canter and Rose, among others), so his faith is covered in the book about communism, “The God That Failed”.

SNIFF, 2011 signup, interesting posting history.

Doubt it. I cannot even begin to tell you how many people I have known for decades who I NEVER EVER EVER EVER would have imagined would have EVER supported such a thing who have told me in the last 2 or 3 years that they now support gay marriage.

I must say I met Matthews once and he’s actually a pretty good guy. His politics is absurd, but if you don’t talk politics he’s not half bad.

There will NEVER be rebellion here, because the troops will NEVER refuse to put it down. And if by some miracle I was wrong, doesn’t matter they still have unmanned drones and missiles to put it down.

No one cares. Seriously. No one except for those who all ready would not vote for BHO cares. 9 out of 10 people on the street would not even know who Bell was, and if you told them would shrug their shoulders and not think it a big deal.

Obama is going to clean his clock. These polls are pointless to me. There is no way at all Romney can hold up the next few months. He’s a horrible politician and a lying fraud, and is going to get annihilated in November.

I will not be voting for Romney. I will be sitting it out in the Presidential section of the ballot. Perhaps you should take some of your own advice and realize that “something has gone dreadfully wrong in your thinking” if you think electing Romney is a good thing.

“When Romney is sworn in”

I see what you did there. Sneak it in thinking no one will notice. I and everyone I personally know will NOT be voting for him. So good luck with that.

I had an old friend who spent 40 years in the CIA and he told me this too. Nobody becomes candidate for President without others (whoever that is) approval, and that includes Obama whom he said was handpicked in 2005. He told me when he announced his candidacy and he was polling at what 8%, that he would beat Hillary and become President. I laughed at him and thought all the years of doing strange things have made him crazy...guess not. I don’t laugh at him anymore.

If you are wondering he told me he would serve 8 years.

It was a stupid war from the beginning. And I must be fair and say from the beginning, not simply because I don’t like the current occupant of the White House. But it was stupid under Bush too. Needless. Was not a necessary reaction to what occurred on 9/11.

Except there was no bomb and Breitbart had a history of heart problems. So let’s not go wacky here. Being wacky tin foil wearing dopes is for the left.

I worked for many years in the radio advertising business, before I could no longer take it because of how vulture like it is. That being said I have maintained many friends, some of which are in high places. I think many people here myself included and Rush probably himself overestimated his own staying power.

I talked to some of my friends about it yesterday, and they all told me the same thing, that Rush was in significant trouble as of the afternoon yesterday. Advertisers were contacting Premiere Radio Networks in droves telling them that although highly rated they don’t need the trouble and will pull out of the show if he does not apologize by Monday.

Obvious troll is obvious. Cheers!

...Black Jesus is a synonym for Anti-Christ as in Black Sabbath...

It's fun liberals are too culturally unaware to know that... or too stupid.

Bingo.

I still can’t believe that a God-fearing woman like Florida agreed to have J.J.’s painting replace the family’s portrait of Jesus up on the wall, even if it was just for Black History Week. And I particularly am befuddled by how a well read young man like Michael would believe that the Book of Revelation’s passage regarding Jesus having “hair like wool” (in the Second Coming) referred to wool’s texture and not its color (the passage makes clear that in St. John’s dream Jesus’ hair was bright white, and how Florida accepted it at face value. But it was a great episode, though.

Well, whatever else is true, it’s highly doubtful that Jesus looked like Jeffrey Hunter, as so many modern-era portraits show Him as.

I think sitcoms call that “the rule of funny”. They don’t care if it makes sense. ;d
