A Maryland teen is charging his high school with discrimination after he was suspended for wearing a skirt to class.
Warren Evans told NBC 4 Washington in an interview broadcast Friday that teachers at Calvert High in southern Maryland sent him home for dressing like a girl earlier this month.
"I feel annoyed that they would go out of their way to make it a problem just with me wearing a skirt," the teen, who says he is openly bisexual, told the station."
School officials wouldn't comment on the suspension, but the district's dress code policy said it's up to teachers to decide whether students clothes or haircuts are appropriate.
Evans, who didn't give his age, said the handbook isn't specific enough.
"It didn't say anywhere in the code of conduct or dress code that boys can't dress like girls," he told NBC 4, while appearing on camera in a tight pink skirt, high heels and a long black wig.

We could get away with “Hey Iran” shirts with Mickey Mouse flipping the bird but that was about as far as we could go.
Do it right, boy: http://www.utilikilts.com/
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
A skirt? What about the Wig!???
Looks like buckwheat with long hair.
Best ignored. Way too much attn over this.
In Howard county Maryland it is illegal to discriminate against transsexuals including bathroom use, passed late last year.
Sounds like we need a boy to pull this there in the public schools to wake these sheep up.
A great argument for school uniforms
I have a vivid imagination too...
I'm with you 100 percent. The school administrators should be smart enough to have the students wear uniforms. They were not that smart. They are just highly paid. Now they have walked the school into a lawsuit.
If it is not in writing in the manual, then they can't send him home. Perhaps it is in writing. In the private sector it would be clearly spelled out. Anyone know if this school had such a written policy?
Looks weird. Great music. Paid lots of taxes and created lots of jobs. He is definitely different.
The workforce will have to attend sensitivity training sessions.....it's coming.
Fine, now suspend all the girls wearing pants...
It is my understanding that there is no such thing as a bi-sexual. These people, given a choice of a sexual partner, will always choose a member of their own sex. They are homosexuals.

The way I heard it was:
If they claim they are bi it almost doubles ones chance of a date on any given night.
Nah, he would have a bigger butt!
In the late 80âs my school banned shorts but girls could wear skirts as long as they were past the length of your fingers when your arms were at your side. Boys complained because they said it was like wearing shorts for the girls, which were banned. So a bunch of boys went out and bought skirts and wore them to school. The Principal made sure they were the proper length and told them to go ahead and look like idiots if that’s what they wanted. They were so uncomfortable, having never wore a skirt, they never did again. End of story! Now the Principal would be sued for saying “idiot”.
There are womyn who, by indoctrination and abuse, consider themselves to be “unwanted” by men and succumb to lesbian encounters.
Gay scout masters “gaydar” also indoctrinate young initiates into homosexuality.
Homos are not born, they are taught.
