Sounds like criminal charges need to be filed along with a civil suit to try and teach common sense to the school system and the nurse (probably impossible).
I was a high teacher for three years. One of my favorite students did not come to school one day. She die in her sleep form asthma. It was my hardest day at school. That nurse needs to be fired. Schools are very good at having many rules that never seem to get to the parents.
More examples of why America is going to Hell in a hand-basket.
My daughter was a childhood asthmatic (1980s)
Fortunately, she outgrew it.
This is one case where I would sue the H of of them.
But just wait until the Obamacare Death Panels are seated and the typical Leftist government bureaucrat, who are sadists by indoctrination, has the ultimate say on whether you live or die:
“We are sorry Ms Smith, but these forms are outdated so you will have to reapply for your heart medication.
“How long will that take?”
“ohhh, I would say six to eight months.”
“But I'm having a heart attack right now!”
“Then I suggest you fill out form 13253B and then mail it to the Emergency and Trauma Control Commission in order to receive your 911 access authorization...”
“Next!”
and yet... if this was a girl who wanted an abortion you can be sure that they would be speeding her to the nearest abortion provider without the parents consent.
Sick.
I came across a story just yesterday of a family losing their 5 YO daughter to an asthma attack.
I’m glad this young man is okay. Can’t imagine the grief of losing a child.
“A stupid person is more dangerous than a bandit.”
First thing I learned on the internet. See “Basic Laws of Human Stupidity” for scientific proof.
Floriduh
judas priest. I think a state of emergency overcomes lack of a permission slip.
Stupid parents....couldn’t sign the dang form? That is one thing that my wife (especially) does is go through all backpacks to ensure all paperwork is looked at and all forms signed as required. Parents are so damn lazy.
This is Volusia County they’re talking about, one of the worst in Florida, this is where former Sheriff Bob Vogel pissed on the Constitution day in and day out, by setting up roadblocks on I-95 and seizing cash from motorists who couldn’t adequately explain where the cash came from and what they intended to do with it.
As for this so-called ‘nurse’?
That beeotch needs to be fired, but of course won’t be.
One of the worst phrases in modern American culture: “There oughta be a law!”
If I were there, I'd advise the nurse to go down to the lunchroom and get a handful of lard ... then rub it all over the inhaler ... cause that would make things a lot easier for her when somebody shoves that thing up her a$$!
It’s a government school. It’s about union contracts, sick time, early retirement and medical benefits. It’s about the union employees and the work rules.
These annoying students have nothing to do with the school’s mission
Forget the “school rules”...
That nurse should lose his/her license!
News Flash: Huge Governmental Bureaucratic Monopoly behaves like a Huge Governmental Bureaucratic Monopoly.
Why would anybody expect a public school employee to care about children?
The only time my children see the inside of a public school is when I take them with me when I vote!
You would have to be a sadist to simply watch someone suffer an asthma attack and not help them, if you could help them. This nurse needs to do some serious soul searching.

Wait for it........the kid will get expelled for having drugs in his locker.
Common sense if dead!
