I only have seen our native ones. What disgusting looking creatures ...the buzzards. I don’t think I have seen vultures. ....now that I go through google images I think I have plus it seems (not you) some are sloppy in using vulture and buzzard interchangeably

Buzzards are Turkeys and Vultures are Eagles is the common notion of ornithologists I believe.

The ones in Africa are almost raptors.
