The Republican National Committee had some strong talk about their chances next week in the Wisconsin recall and what a victory for Gov. Scott Walker would mean for their states going red in November.
Certainly [if] Wisconsin goes red, I think its lights out for Barack Obama, said RNC Chairman and Wisconsinite Reince Priebus on Wednesday.
This is on the heels of a new Marquette University Law School poll showing Walker over Milwaukee mayor Tom Barrett by 7 points, 52% to 45%.
Despite their tough talk, its not so cut and dry that a Walker win would automatically mean an Obama loss. The same survey also shows President Obama over Mitt Romney 51% to 43%.
The RNC said they have made over two million voter contacts and identified nearly every Wisconsin voter ahead of Tuesdays vote, on a conference call the committee held Wednesday. That date will then in turn be quickly used for get-out-the-vote efforts ahead of November.

However, what he did say was he thinks it's "lights out" for Obama if WI goes red. My point is, Romney is behind in most swing states and has to make up a lot of ground before the RNC chair should be letting loose with the victory talk. But no matter at this point... it's already been said.
don’t forget about the repub senators that are in recall elections.
Walker wins the recall but the repubs lose the senate means a tough row for him to hoe.
“Cut and dry”????/ Shushannafannahannahhh must have gone to the Crackerjack school of journalism.
Michelle Fields a regular guest on ‘Your World with Neil Cavuto’ (she is always fun to watch) pointed out that the unions and other liberals picking this WI fight are draining their resources on this losing battle, resources they will need in November. This is a gift to Republicans assuming Walker wins of course.

“I wish some republicans would stop being so timid and afraid to attack our enemies head on. THAT path always leads to defeat. To win a war one must WIN A WAR!”
There is a BIG difference between “boasting about a win before it happens” and being “timid and afraid”. One should never count their chickens before they are hatched. That does not mean one is timid or afraid. Pride comes before the fall..........
The reason the Left will try desperate measures is because, if they lose, they are sunk in WI over the long term. Voter ID in November, plus a Republican gov willing to press for prosecution of vote fraud, means Obama is likely to lose WI. The hits against unions means that there is much less union money for Dem campaigns. In 2013, if the Repubs maintain control, look for them to finish the process by making WI a right-to-work state.
What Rep Senators are in Recall elections??
I figured as much, the folks of Wisconsin have to be by and large disgusted with this entire thing. Its dragged on forever, made them a national embarrassment and like it or not Walker’s policies, have been working.. (unlike Obama’s).
This entire thing in WI is nothing more than sour grapes by democrats, who completely overplayed their hands from day one on this. They ran away rather than doing their jobs, and then tried to void fair elections. Its disgusting and dispicable. I am glad the folks of WI are rooted well enough to be done with this nonsense.
Walker will not only win, Wisconsin will almost assuredly vote red in November, as will Ohio, Indiana, and very likely PA and possibly even MI.
The rust belt with the exception of IL (thanks to, and only thanks to Chicago) and MN are the only 2 states in the rust belt that are likely Democrat this fall, And if either of those 2 states fall you can bet that Obama will lose traditional New England blue states as well, and in MN falls Red, then there is no state safe for Obama.
Democrats are SUNK in the rust belt for the next 2-3 election cycles minimal! It is going to take at least a decade, for voters to remotely think voting democratic is a good idea again.
The Dems have finally taken their clothes off and revealed completely and utterly what they want and stand for with Obama.. and it isn’t what America was founded or based upon. Pelosi, Reid and Obama have destroyed the democratic brand for at least 2-3 national cycles.
Well that would suddenly get the Democrats on board with Voter ID.
The Title is misleading. I heard Preibus on WLS Don and Roma show this morning and he said if WI goes to Romney it will means Obama will lose. He did not connect a Walker win to an Obama loss.

You missed the entire point... party on.
LLS
Walker will win.
This is just the RNC energizing/throwing red meat to the base.
While I agree with the sentiments, and while like the Gay Marriage vote in NC these do represent early tea leaves in potential battleground states, saying it doesn’t make it true.
First and foremost this is the RNC doing what they can to beef up the vote.
And not that there’s anything wrong with that either.
“...What can people not in WI do to help him win?...”
Like Warren Zevon said in the song...”Send Lawyers, Guns and Money, the Sh*t has hit the fan...”
Seems spot on....
The Dems have finally taken their clothes off.......Pelosi, Reid and Obama............
