My daughter is starting her second year of teaching English in Japan. One of the first trips to Tokyo that she took, she went to a “cat cafe”. She had a fun time. It is basically for people who do not have a pet, but would like to spend some time with a pet. So, the cat cafe.

One of the many great pleasures of living in the US is not having to live in an apartment that’s not much larger than a prison cell. I
have a 2 acre place in far SW Knox Co., TN. That allows me to be owned by a 10 lb. cat, an 85 lb. Pitador and a 102 lb. Great Dane. Couldn’t do that in Japan without being worth 10 or 20 times what I am.

Knowing the great pleasure I get from my one cat and two BIG dogs, I can only feel sorry for the poor Japanese who just don’t have the space to live that way.

I think that I might enjoy some things about living in Japan. America is sure beginning to suck.

Do you pay money to go in and pet the cats? Or is that just a (free) customer getter?

So...

in America, when you drink a lot, you get a $h!t-face.
in Japan, when you drink a lot, you get a Shih-Tzu.
