I think the state of New Jersey should have the kids’ names legally changed. Then they should kill the parents. There is no excuse for this crap.

So in a nutshell, the kids were taken away because someone didn’t like their Parent’s choice of names.

All hail the power of the State!

Why is this a problem? Not my tastes or beliefs, but if the state can do this? Who is next, people who name their child John-Paul?

I see I have to repeat this story once again. Read it years ago in the WSJ.

Due to its past as a Spanish colony, the Philippines suffer from a shortage of last names. This, that is presence of a large number of duplicate names, first and last, causes plenty of identity problems for its citizens, the institutions of government and commerce. To help themselves and their children the Filipinos resort to giving their children unique names, such that would outrage many sensitive Westerners, but which resonate differently in that part of the world. And so, there are Adolphs, Hitlers and Himmlers, with the familiar Spanish derived family names. No big deal there.

Should have been stopped at the point where they were putting the names on the Birth Certificate. Some names are routinely denied. That being said, there is a red flag here and an investigation should be done.

Rename the boy Trayvon and the girls LaTrina and Klamydia.

Besides naming their children obnoxious names, what exactly did these parents do to their children that warranted government intervention to take them from their custody?

I am asking because I no longer just assume that any action by any level of government against any citizen is necessarily based upon any actual law.

I’m surprised that the name tapered off as slowly as it did in the US.

If they had called him Adolf Shickelgruber, I suppose there never would have been much of a stink.

A New Jersey judge ruled the parents of four children with Nazi-inspired names will not get custody of their kids.

It wasn't Illinois...

So now it’s a race to see who can screw those kids over more, the parents or the courts. Glad to see the welfare of the kids is a top priority.

This was never about the kids name.

The first story I read was about a store refusing to put the son's name on a birthday cake.

I did research on this case some time ago, but don't have the links. I was as incensed as everyone until I found out how dysfunctional the family really is. Despite what the parents are saying, there was a pattern of abuse/neglect between the parents and the kids. Child protective services had visited the home several times in the past. I think drugs were involved as well. If I recall, CPS has been prohibited from discussing the case, so anyone can write a story about what is happening, but the evidence of abuse is apparently being withheld.

There has been a lot of misreporting on the facts surrounding this family.

As the boy grows up his friends will all be asking, “Will you quit acting like a little Hitler????”

I find this a bit hypocritical, considering we have a PRESIDENT named Barack HUSSEIN Obama.

I’ve never met anyone with the surname Hitler. It seems that name went out of fashion sometime back.

Don’t know any young Adolfs either.
