And you should be aware that even doctors debate whether a particular examination procedure is “worth it.” The entire set of commonly practiced preventive procedures should not be tarred with metrics from those that are known to be controversial.

Take the millions that go to the Doctor for preventive care, and then take the costs of that. Now take the actual cost of care that happens because preventive care did not happen. (probably can’t find that).
You are confusing the ideal that preventive costs can prevent deaths. Not the same that preventive care costs more than the costs of death (not exactly configurable).
Yes, preventive care is nice, but necessary, only to those that are usually both health alcoholics and of the elderly.
Really, if you look at all of these health benefit scams, you will realize that most of these results are because of the effect of the elderly wanting to continue. That sounds crass I know, but it is to the expense of the young for costs without doubt.
