Rep. Peter King: National Security Leaks Came From the White House
Fox News ^ | 06/11/2012

Posted on 06/11/2012 5:04:50 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Peter King (R-NY), sat down with Jamie Colby today on America’s News HQ to discuss the investigation into the leaks on counter-terrorism programs. Congressman King said, “This is the most shameful cascade of leaks I’ve ever heard or seen in government. We’re not talking about an incidental leak coming out … We’re talking about leaks involving two of the most sensitive programs in the United States government.”

He said it’s “clear” from those stories published in The New York Times that the information “came from the White House, came right from the National Security Council, came right from the Situation Room.” Rep. King continued, “For the president to say he’s outraged by this … how come he said nothing about it until a few of us, including John McCain, stood up and took him to task for it.”

The congressman pointed out that the intelligence released in the leaks is so sensitive that Attorney General Eric Holder can’t even say what the Department of Justice is investigating. He said President Obama is trying to look like John Wayne and said there’s no need to put American lives at risk in order to build up the president’s image for the election.

This amounts to

” high crimes and misdemeanors “.

“Aiding and giving comfort to our enemies”.

A breach of the oath

“....to defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic”.

TREASON of the highest order.

Bowbama referred to “MY White House”! I thought I was the only one who caught and was offended by that term. Apparently Cong. King didn’t care much for it either! It’s the “people’s house”!

Yes, but, considering the speed of "investigations" the election will make this matter moot.

Well Pete,
Got a good reason why you aren’t dragging his ass in front of Congress? Got a good reason why impeachment proceedings are not underway? Or is this just another in a long line of placating moves by the GOP to make yourselves look like you’re doing something? Don’t worry though...we know you’ll let it slide just like all the other major issues related to this president. We know there’s an election coming and you don’t want to ‘offend’ the independents.

We know you are a bunch of cowards that won’t impeach a black president no mater how many crimes he commits or people get killed because of his ‘leaks’ and other (Fast and Furious) policies.

We know.

Offended here as well and recognize it for the overblown narcissist’s defense mechanism that it was.

Check out his press conference. He did not deny the source of the leaks. He said: "The notion that my White House leaked...is offensive."

It was a classic non-denial denial.

This was done on purpose and not for the reasons we are thinking. Obama wants a fight with congress so he can claim victimhood and play the race card leading up to the election.

I would wait and throw this at Obama for an October suprise.

“This is going to take a lo of white wash to hide the rot.”

Sorry, no “white wash” to be had here. It’s nothing but “dirt” from the top down to the man who controls the investigation.

Why wait? Get on TV and say “The country does not care how offended you are Mr. President, they want a straight answer. Did these leaks come from the White House or not? Yes or no?”

Get him on record.

I was listening to the morning talk program on WMAL - DC. They had Joe DeGenova on. He said people will go to jail for this. However, the host pointed out that the president can de-classify information at will. Both of them then started parsing Pres. Obama’s statement about this, and it seems that that’s what he’s doing - no leak of classified information from the White House because Obama declassified it!

You are exactly right.

If the Democratic administration is guilty of intentionally leaking security for political reasons then the Republican opposition is equally guilty of not aggressively rooting out the corruption. If lives are put on the line due to this breach, then no one is without guilt.

When and if this investigation gets started, does any one think it will not go the same way, as every other (fruitless) investigation into this administration.

Just a big bowl of plastic bananas and wax apples.

In think each party has so much crap on the other they are stuck in a M.A.D scenario. Each pushes the edge enough to make it look good, but they’ll never do the right thing because there aren’t enough reason beds to hold all the people who’d be involved.

And the BS we live in today is the result. I’m sorry. There is no excuse that not one of these idiots can get serious and do their job. But none will out of fear that their laundry will be exposed and their own bacon will get fried.

Short of aliens destroying the planet, I can think of no other excuse for the footdragging and game playing.
