Bondi deserves to be primaried out after she came out in support of government mandated health care for the states and decided to work for Romney.

She ran as a conservative and now shows her true colors - end of discussion, she needs to go.

You can believe it or not, but, Zimmerman is gone. He was gone the moment he became a political pawn for those on and off this forum to advance their agenda. He was sacrificed on the altar of political correctness.Race Pimps and self hating White Liberals can congraulate themselves.

From this point forward, a Jew in Germany during the 1930s and early 40s appearing before a "People's Court" judeg would have gotten a fairer trial.

None of the lynch Zimmerman mob cares about what obama's sons did to the old World War II Veteran and his wife who were only minding their own business and harming no one. Ditto for the young lady whose only crime was returning a book to the after hours depositry. One of obama's sons lurking there. He beat her to within an inch of her life, it probably been more mericiful if he had killed her. He also sexually assaulted her. The results were, after an extended stay in the ICU and hospital, she was placed in a assisted living facility because due to the damage he inflicted on her,she is unable to function as a normal human being. And like I said not one of the lynch Zimmerman mob gives a damn.

Had he not have been armed, Zimmerman could have suffered the same fate as the young lady or been dead.

Plea leverage. She’ll offer to drop the charges against wifey for a guilty plea from George.

“And now they are being charged because they didn’t know how much had been collected by the Web site. It’s straight out of Kafka.”

Sorry, but she appears to have lied. She claimed she didn’t know how much was in the account yet transferred $74K from it the day before the bond hearing! http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/story/2012-06-12/martin-zimmerman-wife/55553380/1

Judge Lester is bought and paid for. You can take that to the bank.

Supposedly, she didn’t know about how much, but her brother-in-law did. Did she directly transfer the money, or did she ask the BIL for it?

I've read the transcript, and am very curious as to just what Judge Lester might deem perjured testimony. She stated that she did not know the amount in the defense fund, but that her brother in law would know the amount.

The only thing I see, and it would be a very tortured interpretation of the law hinging upon a likely incorrect understanding of legal possession of the fund as an “asset,” is her testimony pertaining to indigence.

I've understood that the Zimmermans were never in control of the defense fund, that it is structured according to Florida law which precludes it.

If there were to be some minor irregularity or oversight, that might provide the pretext for a “show” arrest, which I believe is just what occurred. They have no case, so the court appears to be attempting to create as strong an impression of guilt prior to trial as possible to taint the jury pool and placate the professionally aggrieved who are threatening mob violence.

The attorney, O’mara, needs to step up badly right now. If there are irregularities or oversights, they're likely his.

The money was going into Zimmerman’s account and was transferred BY THE WIFE in accordance with George’s instructions. Sorry, folks, but unless they have fabricated the phone calls used in support of this motion, it’s pretty clear that both George and wife did not come clean about these funds. I don’t see how any objective person could read that motion and conclude otherwise. The Zimmermans can’t claim they didn’t think the funds were available to pay bail since they explicitly discussed using the funds to do exactly that!

“I think this is part of an effort to get Zimmerman to plead to a lesser charge rather than go to trial. Squeeze his family, try to get him left in jail with a long delay before trial, etc., then offer him a deal of a lesser charge and shorter possible prison sentence.”

There’s a good argument for this. What I think the prosecutor hopes for is that the funds for defense get spread out on bail and defending two cases. They appear desperate that this case NOT to go to trial. Hope the Zimmermans don’t have kids who have jaywalked. Corey’ll arrest ‘em and hold ‘em with no bail—that’ll show the cracker.

I think they didn’t know that this would be considered their money or they would have set up a separate fund, which obviously they didn’t have the smarts to do. People, which I’m sure includes a number of Freepers, just wanted to help them and sent them money.

It would be logical for them to discuss using it to pay the bail, since even the bail that was set would have been beyond them.

These are simple people of very modest means who suddenly got thrust into the political hotseat.

"Compared to her predecessor, she is much more aggressive in terms of filing criminal charges, much less likely to dismiss charges... She prosecutes every potential charge to the hilt" http://articles.nydailynews.com/2012-04-10/news/31320450_1_grand-jury-michael-hallett-first-degree-murder-indictment.

She also pays little attention to PC crap about the accused having had a hard life and being the real victim. Goes for long sentences and doesn't give soft plea bargins. And she has a 90% conviction rate.

Corey is rough on roughnecks.

Sorry, folks...

I'm not going to be lectured about the "Just Us" system that let Bill Clinton, Charlie Rangel and Jon Corzine walk.

Oh, and don't forget the John Edwards kabuki show...

Interesting stuff - thanks for the link. I still feel bad for these people, though - there is a show trial aspect to this case that disturbs me.

USA Today is an Obama mouthpiece.

What about foxnews.com?

Prosecutors say Shellie Zimmerman made eight transfers from her husband's credit union account to her account between April 16 and 19 totaling more than $74,000. Six of the transfers were just under the $10,000 threshold that would have required the credit union report the transactions to the Internal Revenue Service.

For someone who had no access to the money and didn't know how much there was she seems to have moved it around fairly easily.

Six of the transfers were just under the $10,000 threshold that would have required the credit union report the transactions to the Internal Revenue Service.

And two of them weren't.

Sorry, the article is written from the DOJ script.

When are you people going to get a clue that The Law only applies to the peasants, and not to our Masters? And that the "news" stories will be written to serve the purposes of the Clintons, Rangels and Corzines of the American political world.

For someone who had no access to the money and didn't know how much there was she seems to have moved it around fairly easily.

As another poster pointed out, Shellie Zimmerman offered to get the brother-in-law on the phone to discuss the amount in the PayPal Account.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” ― Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn
