Right, but the “but Johnny did it too” defense is pretty weak, I hope we can agree. Perjury is indefensible. We shouldn’t excuse it. So if you want to argue that Zimmerman’s didn’t commit perjury, fine by me. But I’m not particularly sympathetic to the line of argument “Well, all those Dems got away with stuff that was just as bad or worse, so we should give Zimmerman’s wife a pass.”

Maybe there’s an innocent explanation, but multiple transfers of just under $10K (which certainly looks like a knowing evasion of rules that would have required automatic reporting of such transfers to the IRS) doesn’t look like the work of innocent rubes. To all appearances, the evidence on the table so far certainly looks as if Zimmerman’s wife was doing her best to conceal from the judge the fact they had direct access to tens of thousands of dollars that they’d explicitly discussed using for bail if push came to shove. That’s perjury in my book.

Only the person who controlled the PayPal account could transfer money out of it. While the funds may have been transferred to George and Shellie’s bank account it doesn’t mean they were the ones who did the transfer or had any knowledge of the amount involved.

Actually, no, I’m drawing my own conclusions from the evidence provided in the arrest warrant. IF that evidence was fabricated—and I have seen no one offering evidence that is the case (or even making that claim)—then clearly I could be drawing the wrong conclusions. But if the evidence about the timing and amounts of transfers is correct, then I don’t see how a fair-minded person could conclude Mrs. Zimmerman was being truthful in her testimony.

As one simple example, why don’t YOU explain to me clearly and concisely why they made multiple transfers of just under $10K? Why not a single lump sum transfer of a larger amount? As the Fox News account of these transfers suggests (which is hardly a news source that ever claimed Clinton, Rangel or Corzine were innocent), it appears that the motivation may have been to evade the requirement that the credit union report these transfers to the IRS. And for Mrs. Zimmerman to claim only a day or so after these transfers that she didn’t know how much money was available from these Website donations certainly doesn’t sound like a truthful statement to me.

Well, I don’t know who’s doing the “reporting” of your claim. This does not square with the evidence provided in the Motion to Revoke Bond. In that Motion, it is asserted that funds from Paypal went directly into the Defendant’s (George Zimmerman’s) account and that he, assisted by his wife, directly transferred these funds to her credit union account. Given the penalties for lying in an official court document (and Zimmerman’s lawyer has every motivation to bring such lies to light if they exist, yet has not made any such claims to my knowledge), I’m inclined to believe an official court document over any news reporter’s account.

I suggest you spend less time on ad hominem attacks and more time on the facts. I think George Zimmerman has been railroaded in terms of the nature of charges filed against him in light of the evidence he was acting in self defense. However, by lying about both his passport and finances, he hasn’t done himself any favors. His case rests almost entirely on the credibility of his own account of his actions and motivations. Calling his own integrity into question by creating even a perception of dishonesty/lack of of forthrightness regarding these matters was a bone-headed move. He’s handed the overly aggressive prosecutor a weapon that may help seal his conviction: that’s not a good outcome for anybody.

Where is the outrage over the Strait's torture/murders?

While the Zimmerman/Martin ‘white’ on black killing is covered 24/7 on the MSM with an outpouring of rage and charges of a racial hate crime, where is the concern- where is the rage about the home invasion, torture, beating, rape and murder of the elderly white couple by a gang of feral blacks in Tulsa, Oklahoma just a few months ago?

The 90 year old war veteran husband was beaten and his jaw broken. He was shot in the face numerous times with a BB gun and sent to the hospital in critical condition. He died from his injuries a few weeks ago

The 85 year old partially blind wife was RAPED and then BEATEN TO DEATH.

Can you just imagine the pain, the humiliation, the horror that dear old lady experienced being gang raped by that pack of feral animals?

(the autopsy states she was raped. Don’t think all of these animals didn’t all participate)

And can you imagine the pain, the horror of that dear old husband having to witness this?

There’s a lot more involved here than a home invasion and robbery.

At the time, I called our local newspaper and asked the same questions. The editor didn’t know anything about this brutal hate crime, then told me even if he did, he would not have run the story because, “IT WASN’T UNUSUAL, A COMMON CRIME THAT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME”.
