President Obama: The Biggest Government Spender In World History
Forbes ^ | June 14, 2012 | Peter Ferrera

Posted on 06/16/2012 7:03:40 AM PDT by Innovative

The U.S. has never before had a President who thinks so little of the American people that he imagines he can win re-election running on the opposite of reality. But that is the reality of President Obama today.

President Obama's own 2013 budget shows that as a result federal debt held by the public will double during Obama's four years as President. That means in just one term President Obama will have increased the national debt as much as all prior Presidents, from George Washington to George Bush, combined.

But this 2012 election is defined for the voters by the future, not the past. And that future is fully revealed by the stark contrast between President Obama's spending, deficits and debt projected under his proposed 2013 budget, and the projections under House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan's budget, adopted by the Republican House, and endorsed by presumptive Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

Obama's 2013 budget proposes to spend $47 trillion over the next 10 years, the most in world history by far, increasing federal spending by $1.5 trillion above the current CBO baseline. Ryan's budget proposes to cut that by $6.8 trillion. By 2022, Ryan's budget would be spending nearly a trillion dollars less per year than President Obama's budget.

“Next year, under President Obama’s policies, the top tax rates of virtually every major federal tax are already scheduled to increase under current law. ... President Obama is now proposing on top of that the Buffett Rule, which would increase tax rates on capital gains and dividends even further. Counting that, next year the top tax rate for capital gains would increase by 100%, the top tax rate on corporate dividends would increase by 100%..”

I’m afraid Romney won’t do anything either. In fact, I’m not sure the GOP elites don’t want to lose because they don’t want to be in charge when the company goes kaput. And they sure don’t want to be the ones to cut entitlements.

I liked it because of the wealth of objective facts and figures — anyone who actually reads it must conclude that we must not give Obama a second term, giving him a chance to totally destroy the US, as we know it.

We would become a third world country — he wants to destroy the basic premise on which the US was founded: freedome and free enterprise. He wants the government to control us, just like in the communist countries and Soviet Union, or Cuba — and we know how that worked out for the people.

Read the article, then tell me that you think a second term of Obama would be “just fine”, which seems to be your premise.

And did you miss:

“the projections under House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan’s budget, adopted by the Republican House, and endorsed by presumptive Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney. “

I keep looking and I don’t see where I said a second term for obama would be just fine.

I’m saying nobody wants to be in charge when entitlements have to be cut. Holder’s peeps are gonna be very upset. Therefore, it’s gonna’ be some scary times. So, the question is if the republicans win and obama is out, will they have the guts to do what has to be done? Or will they continue to kick the can down the road like they’ve done so far.

Obama’s unlimited government approach knows no bounds, and neither does he.

You said Romney would be no different — which is not only false, but clearly has the intent to bash Romney, and by clear inference promote Obama.

Problem is, most people who vote, won't understand it, or wont even read it, or won't care. The biggest problem is that, of the people doing the voting, half of them don't pay taxes, so, to them, they remain "unaffected".

Sorry to say it, but, as a whole, the country has been dumbed-down, and, the only lesson that would teach the people the hard lessons of the economy, is to reach a Greek-style meltdown, where, perhaps then, the people will realize that, socialism and big spending government, is just never going to work. In fact, perhaps then, there could be proposed an amendment to limit the size of government, and to limit government spending to military and law-enforcement and infrastructure, while removing all social spending, including education at the federal level. Barring the hard lessons, we are still doomed.

Yes! The problem is the Obama vote base has three solid constituencies; socialists, parasites, and the clueless.

1. "President Obama's own 2013 budget shows that as a result federal debt held by the public will double during Obama's four years as President.

2. "That means in just one term President Obama will have increased the national debt as much as all prior Presidents, from George Washington to George Bush, combined."

For those of you who understand mathematics and exponential growth functions, these two statements should raise a giant red flag. It means we will soon be in terrible trouble. Get ready for the collapse. It is really and truly unavoidable.

Romney revives attacks on Obama’s health-care plan

http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/romney-revives-attacks-on-obamas-health-care-plan/2012/06/13/gJQAkKQwZV_story.html

Mitt Romney pledged to replace the U.S. health-care overhaul with a plan relying on private markets to provide “access to good health care” for every American, as he revived attacks on President Barack Obama’s signature achievement that the U.S. Supreme Court is preparing to rule on.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee told small- business owners in Orlando, Florida, that he would implement policies, including tax breaks, aimed at helping the private market care for the uninsured and those with preexisting medical conditions.

“Free enterprise is the way America works,” Romney told the group gathered in the warehouse of Con Air Industries, which makes air filters. “We need to apply that to health care.”

“the projections under House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan’s budget, adopted by the Republican House, and endorsed by presumptive Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney. “

LOL. Ryan's budget is a total joke. It is crafted to "seem" like a sensible position. It is total, absolute deception.

It is backloaded, like all fraudulent proposals. Ryan knows, everyone knows that probably dictates that power swings back and forth to the RATs every 8 years on average.

Ryan knows, everyone knows, what Ryan proposes will be overridden before the "real reforms" can take hold.

Ryan is a technocrat with no real understanding of the seriousness of the problem. His solutions are nothing but rearranging the chairs on the Titanic.

I think deep down inside ALL in D.C. know that there is will for a true solution.

The real reform will happen when the enough States develop the leadership to essentially dissolve all aspects of the unconstitutional activities of the Federal government.

Of course the odds of that are near zero, so those in D.C. will continue to manage the decline.

Of course. The Ryan plan is a joke as well. There are no cuts for decades, only reductions on projected spending. We need cuts now, the Gov't mandarins are against that.

“The U.S. has never before had a President who thinks so little of the American people that he imagines he can win re-election running on the opposite of reality.”

I was trying to plan a drill for our Hazmat Team the other day. The Station Captain at my fire station who goes along with the union position 100% of the time kept trying to side track our conversation by saying that the problem with the economy is that Obama wasn't able to spend enough. He knows that I am a conservative; I think he was trying to provoke me. We had work to get accomplished so I had to hold my tongue.

It is unbelievable that people can believe Obama’s BS the way that they do.
