President Obama has recruited Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., to play the part of Mitt Romney in mock debates ahead of the three presidential debates in October, the Obama campaign has confirmed to CBS News.
The Washington Post first reported the news. David Axelrod, Mr. Obama's chief strategist, told the Post that Kerry was an "obvious choice."

Heads Up: It’s obvious that Obama intends to focus on Obama’s flip-flops during the debates.

CORRECTION: Heads Up: It's obvious that Obama intends to focus on Romney's flip-flops during the debates. Flip-flopping and talking himself and re-explaining himself is the trait John Kerry's known for.

What substance, if any does Kerry actually bring to the table?I think Kerry is a great choice!
The only better choice would be for Zero to practice against a cardboard cutout of Romney! Or skip the practice and play a round of golf, instead!

Be interesting to be a fly on the wall in those mock ups. I remember reading that the guy Clinton chose to practice against in 1996 (I can’t remember who - George Mitchell, maybe?) rattled Bubba to the point of Clinton nearly losing it. Obama would be even easier to unnerve, I think, with a hard and aggressive debate approach.
Getting Romney to do that, of course, would be a magic trick all of its own...

It is entirely possible that Kerry will wipe the floor with the community organizer from Kenya.
Considering that there is rumored to be a slight bit of animosity between the senior Senator from Assachusetts (I have it on good authority that when Fat Teddy finally checked out, that John F'in Kerry did a little jig while singing 'I'm the senior Senator, I'm the senior Senator!') and the Kenyan Usurper.
I'm wondering if Herman Cain (a good friend of Romney) will be among those considered as a debate 'sparring partner' with Romney?
Personally, I think Herman Cain has too much integrity to even pretend to be a treasonous dirtbag like 0bama-lama-ding-dong.

The only better choice would have been Ted Kennedy but he is dead. That little inconvenience won't stop his vote from being placed in November.

I knew what you meant and it’s an easy mistake to make. If you look at their records it’s hard to differentiate between the two.

What substance, if any does Kerry actually bring to the table? The substance of spending the majority of the debates back pedaling and explaining his flip-flops not unike a debate between Romney and Kennedy. (a must watch)
They're going to try to tag Romney as a Flip-Flopper and it wont be a difficult thing to do.

Kerry is going to try to use this to impress Zero with his “vast” foreign policy experience to get Sec of State job.
He’ll bore them all in the process.

What difference does it make? They are just two typical white people as far as Obama is concerned.
Other than being tall and rich, I don't know that Kerry has that much resemblance to Romney--Kerry certainly doesn't have the imagination to figure out what Romney is likely to say, but presumably they have a team of researchers going over Romney's past utterances to try to put together what he is likely to say in a debate.
It goes without saying that the moderators will be liberals. Will they give Obama an advance list of the questions?
