MSNBC Panel: Fast & Furious Scandal Bad for GOP, Good for Obama

In an attempt to twist the Obama administration's Fast & Furious gun running scandal into bad news for Republicans, on Wednesday's The Daily Rundown on MSNBC supposed Republican pundit Michelle Bernard proclaimed: "...when you think about just the damage that has been done over the last year to the GOP's brand, this is just another – adds more fuel to the fire."

Bernard was referring to the possibility of Attorney General Eric Holder being held in contempt of Congress for not providing documents about the failed policy to lawmakers. Instead of questioning the White House, Bernard continued to rant: "...this is just another thing that I think gives the Obama administration and the Obama campaign a little bit more fuel to go to the American public and say, 'Why won't they just do their job? We don't elect members of the Congress to come in and beat up on the Attorney General and be obstructionists. Ask them to do their job and back off of Eric Holder.' It makes no sense."

Kind of like saying the Watergate scandal was bad for the donks and good for the Republicans.

That’s why the MSM has been ignoring the story as much as possible. They’re in the tank for the Republican Party.

About the same as saying high unemployment is good for all of us. These people would say the sky is pink if 0 commended them to do so.

This is good news. The RATS must be really scared if little helpers are off saying this type of stuff.

If prominent Republicans won’t give F&F the attention it deserves, showing what happened, how obstructionist Holder and the Administration have been, then the “GOP is a bunch of factionalist meanies” meme might indeed prevail.

Is anyone listening? Is Romney going to address this or treat it like a dead skunk at the end of a ten-foot pole?

Wishful thinking at best. MSNBC is a laughing stock, nobody watches it and their talking heads are idiots. Can’t understand why we at FR even care what MSNBC does or says.

Update [12:52 ET]: Former RNC Chairman Michael Steele followed Bernard's lead in MSNBC's noon hour by claiming the Fast & Furious investigation was "not good" for the House GOP --

Michael Steele was/is worse than worthless.

They are working for Obama’s campaign and have no business calling themselves a news organization. They are a disgrace to the profession.

They are Goebbels acolytes, i.e., if you repeat a lie enough, it will become accepted as truth.

After a bad couple of weeks (unemployment numbers, Wisconsin, Rose Garden speech, expectations of SCOTUS slapdown) liberals are reaching a point of literal panic. Rationality - never a common trait among liberals - will become even more rare as the weeks and months march by.

We are clearly at war with the MSM and the rats. It is open warfare and the projectiles are their lies.

This and the polls by bloomberg released today on the race, health care and feelings of prosperity are part of a massive and ongoing mis-information campaign to confound and confuse the issues as much as possible.

Even to answer the lies adds to the confusion. The sheeple suffer information overload and tune out. They are not mentally capable of sorting truth from fiction that sounds like truth from someone they want to believe that is asserted with shameless authority.

Here is what I fear will lead to an oblabla win:

When confused people will stay with the status quo. They freeze in place.
