Here's a stimulus success story: In Arizona's 9th Congressional District, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that's what the website set up by the Obama Administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says. There's one problem, though: There is no 9th Congressional District in Arizona; the state has only eight Congressional Districts. There's no 86th Congressional District in Arizona either, but the government's recovery.gov Web site says $34 million in stimulus money has been spent there.

The secretary-general of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) recently delivered a little-reported speech at the United States Institute of Peace. In it he demanded that the United States give the Muslim world "respect." But precisely what does he mean by that? The OIC comprises 57 states with Muslim majorities, and is expected to expand to 60 states. It is the second-largest nongovernmental organization, surpassed only by the United Nations. It is without exception the most powerful Muslim organization in the world, often voting as a bloc on international issues. In his claim to power, Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Insanoglu enjoys expansive...

I'm not an Al Franken fan, and disagree with him on most issues, but here is interesting video of him drawing a map of all 50 states during an appearance at the Minnesota State Fair. It looks like he did it freehand with no outline behind the paper. NOTE: If he had checked with President Obama, he could have drawn all 57 states (see video below of Obama's 57 states remark). SNIPPET: "(CNSNews.com) – Buoyed by the presence in the White House of a president who wants to prioritize relations with the world’s Muslims, the head of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) visited both Washington and Brussels this week, and urged the U.S. to quickly appoint an envoy to the Islamic bloc. OIC secretary-general Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu was in Washington on Tuesday when the State Department, in an internal memo, announced that it has selected a “special representative to Muslim communities.” SNIPPET: "From Washington, Ihsanoglu went to Brussels where he announced plans to open a representative office to the European...

Note: Read the whole article and check out the hypertext-links in the article. # FrontPageMagazine.com | Tuesday, May 12, 2009 Where does the Obama administration stand on Israel? Although that vexed question is still open, the worrying signs are accumulating. On Sunday it was National Security Adviser James Jones telling ABC that “We understand Israel’s preoccupation with Iran as an existential threat. We agree with that”—and adding: “…by the same token, there are a lot of things that you can do to diminish that existential threat by working hard towards achieving a two-state solution.” With Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu slated...

A cynic might say, we’ve had the Annapolis peace conference, we’ve had the road map for peace, the Arab initiative, almost a decade with no results. What’s the difference now? Four or five decades! There are two major factors. We are sick and tired of the process. We are talking about direct negotiations. That is a major point. We are approaching this in a regional context. You could say through the Arab peace proposal. The Americans see this as we do and I think the Europeans. Britain is playing a very vital pro-active role, more than I have ever seen in...

(Jordan's King Abdullah) Abdullah sees events rushing toward a "57-state solution" in the Middle East, with President Obama overseeing a grand bargain in which all 57 Muslim countries will recognize Israel in exchange for...something. The details, as usual, are vague, especially with regard to the most intractable issues. What comes through most clearly is that Abdullah foresees "the world" ganging up on Israel to force a "solution." Otherwise? More war. ...snip... [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu's expected visit to Washington next week will be the turning point. ...snip.... What we are talking about is not Israelis and Palestinians sitting at the...

A powerful bloc of 57 Islamic states is again pushing for the UN to make it a criminal offense to criticise or ‘defame' Islam. In a new resolution circulated at a session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on March 11, a paper entitled "Combating Defamation of Religions" was circulated ahead of the Council's next meeting on March 26-27, when the resolution will be voted on. Though the 57 nations of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), a bloc which also dominates the UN's Human Rights Council, have been lobbying for the move since 1999, the signs...

We all know that President Barack Obama has assumed the presidency at a time when that pressure cooker of a job is even more so right now because of the worst recession since the Great Depression and two foreign wars.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "(CNSNews.com) – A United Nations committee has passed a controversial “defamation of religions” draft resolution but, amid freedom of expression concerns, the measure looks set to get less support when it comes to a final vote next month, than in previous years." ARTICLE SNPPEPT: "‘Wrongly associated with terrorism’ This year the 57-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has the support of two non-Muslim allies – Venezuela and Belarus – in co-sponsoring the resolution. Although the OIC says the campaign is aimed at protecting all faiths, once again only Islam is cited by name."

Dozens of Obama's close relatives stayed awake across the country, particularly, Kogelo village, the family homestead, on Thursday night, awaiting his acceptance speech in Denver. According to local dailies on Saturday, thousands remained glued to their television screens on night to follow the proceedings live from the United States as a five-km dust road stretch to Sarah Obama's homestead remained...

In May, Barack Obama said he had visited 57 states in America, and the mainstream media were largely disinterested. On Sunday, the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee added another to the growing list of united states:

You know how Obama thinks there are 57 states? Someone should ask him what it's like working with 113 other senators. There is this song that Ray Charles sings, we sang it all the time in choir; Fifty Nifty United States from thirteen original colonies; Fifty Nifty stars on the flag that billows so beautifully in the breeze. Each individual state contributes a quality that is great. Each individual state deserves a bow, We salute them now. Fifty Nifty United States from thirteen original colonies, Shout 'em, scout 'em, Tell all about 'em, One by one,til we've given a day...

The McCain Campaign isn't competent enough to start it so it's up to Free Republic (again). We need to name the other 7 ObamaNation States! Obama lives in a different America than the rest of us. His has 57 states in it. What are those other 7 states? That is the job for you, Freepers. Let's name those states. And the winning states will be sent to the McCain Campaign so they can get a clue as to what it's like to be a Conservative or even be in the Republican Party (for those of us who are). And maybe...

"Let me be absolutely clear," Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, said today at a press conference in Amman, Jordan. "Israel is a strong friend of Israel's. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under a McCain...administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change."

I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.

It wasn’t clear if Barack Obama knew exactly where he was Friday afternoon when he spoke at his mass rally at the BankAtlantic Center. He repeatedly used the term “Sunshine” as a place name rather than “Sunrise,” the city where the arena is located, including, "How’s it going Sunshine? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you everybody. It’s good to be in Sunshine." U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler, a Democrat who represents north and central Broward and is co-chairman of Obama's Florida campaign, said the candidate could have been speaking metaphorically about Florida’s sunshine. The opposition had a different view....

Is Barack Obama smarter than a 5th grader? Umm.. How about a pre-schooler? We all know how the left-wing media loves to poke fun at Bush's gaffes, but will they play fair when the candidate they dote and fawn over makes a blooper? Roll the tape:

RUSH: Hey, folks, you want to tweak the Drive-By Media with me right now? Want to participate in tweaking the Drive-By Media? You are aware, probably, that Barack Obama lost his bearings recently and said that he was going to campaign in all 57 states. You heard this? And everybody chalked it up to, "Well, he's tired."... (text missing here) We're participating here in a tweak of the media. Obama said he's going to campaign in 57 states, and it turns out that there are 57 Islamic states. There are 57 Islamic states. "Every year from 1999 to 2005, the...

Yesterday The Ticket broke the stunning news of America's acquisition of seven, maybe eight, new states, according to future president Barack Obama. He was speaking at the start of a two-day swoop through Oregon, which is already a state. In Beaverton, which is not a state yet, the Democrat let it slip that during this marathon 16-month party presidential nomination struggle against a bunch of dropouts and this female political zombie from New York who won't surrender short of a silver stake, he had already visited 57 states with one more to go. That's not counting the existing states of...

Can Obama Carry All 57 States? We noted here that Barack Obama seems weirdly unable to remember how many states there are. Most recently, he claimed to have campaigned in 57 states. Hence the Obama version of the American flag: If you're on Facebook there is a new group you can join: These 57 United States Against Barack Obama. I don't think he'll lose 57 states in November, but, one hopes, he'll lose enough.

Quote: "It is wonderful to be back in Oregon," Obama said. "Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

Michelle Obama has spoken frequently on the campaign trail about the amount of student loans she and Barack had to take out to get through Harvard and Princeton. Worse yet, she had to pay them back! As she has many times in the past, Mrs. Obama complains about the lasting burden of student loans dating from her days at Princeton and Harvard Law School. She talks about people who end up taking years and years, until middle age, to pay off their debts. “The salaries don’t keep up with the cost of paying off the debt, so you’re in your...
